@@karenshepherd177 castor oil and oils like rosemary and lavender and peppermint! All mixed together. Just a drop or two of the scented oils. Also crushed garlic mixed with conditioner on scalp. Leave on for a little bit maybe 20 minutes with a plastic bag or deep conditioning cap.

I just had a double Hematoma surgery where they shaved the front quarter of my hair off to drill 2 holes to relieve the pressure on my brain. This style will do just right for me. I was going to shave all of my hair off because I am natural and start all over but I might do this style. That's how my head was in the spring. I cut and shaved it all off (what was left of it). I figured I might as well start fresh. By the end of summer it all grew back. Prayer helped...prayer was the key. I didn't have and fancy anything, just vials of the ginger extract from China and an ultraviolet brush. Thank the Lord for Miss Crystal and her products. I'm saving up to get some. The style is so smart. It's so full! Beautiful!

A work of art!!! She's beautiful. The hair cut fits her so well. You have done it again, Crystal!!!! Love it!!! I can relate to your client. I have a similar issue with my edges. I'm limited to how I can wear my hair. I'm not able to experiment with different styles. It has to be worn down in a bob style. I have enough length to mask the area. I 100% agree! For patients with likely scarring alopecia, never never never use harsh chemicals such as relaxers or color!!!! This further damages the hair follicles!!!!

@Victoria A yes that discoid lupus falls into scarring alopecias. I’m a physician and have my own hair clinic so trust me, I see these same issues on a weekly basis. Harsh chemicals are an absolute no-no!! Hair stylists should work closely with dermatologists and combine expertise to better help women (and men) dealing with alopecia (which is an umbrella term that encompasses all types of hair loss)
