Kerastase is not an oli, it’s silicone. You should never put it on your scalp. It doesn’t penetrate your hair it stays ON your hair creating a protective layer. This is why you should use it before hairstyling to protect your hair. Oiling hair is great treatment but you need to use an oil e.g olive oil, (coconut oil if your hair have low porosity) avocado oil, linseed oil etc.
Thanks for your input. There are silicones as well as oils. I don’t recommend putting the oils directly on the scalp as your natural oils are already doing a good job. 👍🏻
Silicones creating protective layer that blocks other nourishing ingredients from penetrating deep into the hair follicle. Silicones can also clog hair follicles, inhibiting the appearance of optimal hair growth, trapping dirt and debris on the scalp. P.S I do recommend applying oil to the scalp (but this is not for everyone and for longer than 30min) because when you have dry scalp, it means, that not always your sebum is doing “great job”
