Great tutorial. I've been doing auto body work for about 29 yrs. and you explained it as simple as possible . I've only worked with fiberglass maybe 2 years and never realized that my method cost me more money, time and product using the wrong blocks and a d/a. Thanks. Old dogs can learn New tricks!!!

Im not an auto body man myself but I have done a Couple motorcycle paint jobs and some minor body work here and there. Regardless, I watch every video you make on this Channel and My friend Pete channel. Learning a lot and glad it gives you a place to vent. Keep your head up brother. On another note. I know you usually wear a mask. Unfortunately I had a good friend of mine that didn’t always wear a mask. He was doing body work since out of high school. He passed away 2 days ago from lung cancer. 50 years old. Wear protection people!!

IF YOU do not understand this lesson, GIVE up body work. Spend your time doing something else, it simply does not get any CLEARER then this explanation. Pete is a MASTER, time patience and accepting what REALLY IS, not what some book says.

I can always depend on being able to hear what Pete is saying. To me that is huge because I am not buy hearing aids, Bluetooth products or the Raycon ear buds! (New, 1 quit working fully charged after for hours, the right stopped halfway thru the next day / plus Raycon will not warranty third party sellers on the internet / Dealer only) Plus, I always learn something, regardless on the subject and for that alone, I always appreciate it. Thanks for teaching, sharing, showing and telling us the truth! I would be shocked if an aftermarket panel fit or was not damaged. The delivery guy/gal don't want to hear it. I purchased the same style hood for my 73 Vette from Custom image corvettes...it was $900.00 because I got the up graded underside finish which is show quality...smooth as glass...there was a Chip on the front center of the hood...I sent them a picture and they cut a check for $220,00 I would have sent that one back or demanded a Refund/ Discount

What's the best high build primer to use?

For what you pay the hood it should be ready to paint!

Boy did I ever get ripped off on a fiberglass hood for my ford lightning it was from a well known company that I will never buy from again. Total junk and had to put about 60 hours to get it paint ready.

Bondo is not made to work on fiberglass it will turn inside out, you have to use the proper filler its called fiberglass adhesive filler made for fiberglass ,or you can use boat fairing compound made for fiberglass ,not Bondo

You don't put Bondi over fiberglass mu griends dad worked for g.m. making fiberglass bodies he later manufactured fiberglass hot tubs everyday after work he woukd come by and check my wotk hr btought resim gelcoat fibrrglass mat and powdered fiberglass for doing bodywork on the outside gelcoat. All the bondo had to be romoved from the mako shark kit 150 lbs of bondo i had to use flexiblebblocks madr by ppg paints cause nothings flat on a corvette except the topside

If you want to save your teeth stop eating meat. What happens is that meat have their own microbes that stay in your mouth so when you eat any sugar on top of that the microbes feed off of it and consequently eat your teeth. So it's not the sugar that causes tooth decay it's the nicrobes from the meat that feed off the sugar you eat. 28:06
