How to fix FireStick Remote not working? volume button doesn't work. 

Somebody help this didn’t work and it won’t let me turn it off or on and I can’t adjust volume?

Thanks SOOOO much, FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO KNOW HOW? for anyone who wants to KNOW what is ACTUALLY happening, You normally have to do this when you first set up, or when you set up the fire stick on a different TV. But what happens is that your fire stick is normally used to the other TV, or hasn’t been used yet and needs to be set to that TV, so this is a method of adjusting your fire stick to work with the TV you’re using.

Your tutorial was so helpful. I spend maybe an hour trying to pair the volume by myself. But with your advice it worked. Thank you so much...really! Thank you ❤

The volume and mute button would not work on my firestick, I went through all the procedures of this video and was getting ready to just do a factory reset, I happened to look over to the left of my TV and noticed that there was a children’s book slid over in the bottom left corner of the TV in front of it, then it slapped me, talking to my wife who happened to be walking by the TV, could you move that book? Because I remembered that my IR sensors were somewhat close to that area then guess what? My remote works now, I did all these procedures twice and was pulling my hair out, 😂

Thanks, the third step did the trick. TV was set up to sound bar as the remote settings. When I did away with soundbar, I had to change remote settings back to TV. Thanks, your video helped where all others I watched did not.

I went thru this and it said it could not do this. Forgot exact message I ask me to retry or skip. Nothing worked. I think my volume button is dirty or shorting out. Mute is also not working well.. Occasionally they work.. it has been working with no problem for about 3 years

Your tutorial is very helpful... but in the end my fire stick remote volume and mute still aren't working. My fire stick volume control hasn't been working for a few weeks. Changing batteries helped, for about 10 minutes. Sometimes if I change apps, the volume control will work, but then it stops working. I have tried everything suggested multiple times.

Thanks man Weird thing is I've had a firestick/fire TV like 2 or 3 years and this issue only sprung up like 5 months ago On average I have to look up your tutorial to reset it about once each 2 months ...... I do the thing at the end of your video where ya hold the home button down Bet it's a server side issue involving lazy programmers My echo home studio speakers sound good but have all kinds of bugs like this too

Your tutorials is not helpful for me. Ive tried everything somethings when you go into for some reason I don't have them to open up. Like going to audio and selecting surround I don't have that. And I'm using the same fire stick you have. When I go to Bluetooth device I can't select because I DNT have it to select. I've restarted it back to the manufacturer and still Kno sound. Cutting it off by unplugging it for 10 seconds no sound. It's did this before and I went to display sound and select dolbery off and it was working now it's back to Kno sound and I e tried everything

Thanks tried all the options however didn't work. Issue what I see is it got connected to Bluetooth speaker (somehow automatically) and volume buttons stop working, after disconnecting it started working, thanks.

Sept 2022 this still works and I tought I knew everything about firesticks..lol I had to select my TV again yet it was on the brand it was but when I redid the step it worked. Now I need to get the voice search to work...don't know when all this died but if u have any pointers or another video...thanks for all
