This solution also worked for me. I followed the virtual assistant instructions. 1. leaving the printer on 2. unplug power cord 3. wait for a full 60 seconds 4. plug power cord back in, 5. Printer should automatically turn on. If not, turn it back on. 6. Done. Cartridge error should stop blinking.

i have no color cartridges at all i only use black, now it keeps blanking and the printer give me error

It can make loud sound but it should not say cartridge jam. If its not working then you need to replace the printer as its faulty.

You have to do it in print window in laptop. Select the size in setting there. Thats only thr way to correct it.

@@jessicagar2082 I am about to follow the recommendations of the previous poster and blow this garbage printer up. All of my lights are blinking too and the scan dr did not help and the HP app says there arent any errors found. What a JOKE!

also I JUST REPLACED my color cartridge and it is still saying empty and light is blinking.

It may be some special error. Switch off printer and unplug wire for 10 min and switch on again. Then remove ink and clean print head and install aagain.

It might be low ink sign. press paper button that will stop blinking.

none of these work it took me 4 days to get my hp printer to work ......1st go direct to hp website to get the hp smart menu where you select what you want to do pijn it to start menue .........now you need to make sure everything is set up the settings button in that smart software is where you go! ok after i went through it there was a problem couldnt finsh becuse of error behold my net work name was wrong scrooleed down to find right name then input the password which is on your router and other stuff ... then it weell tell you to press the info button on your printer to get them the printer info ......... 1st print came out with two on same page i grunted said i'll smash this thing with a hammer LOL second print worked ...o yes you will now see a diifernt print mode to select instead of the one drive or microsoft pdf it's called hold on it froze on me ....HPCD0518(HP DESKJET 2700 series)

Clean the print heads and reinstall ink again. That may help. Or reset the printer and install ink.

May be it has some issue. It could be anuthing from paper jam to paer setting

Hi, I can understand your frustration. Sometime s issue may be minor but needs to be fixed. The orangle light can be linked to low Ink cartridge, but as you said ink is there. I suggest to remove the ink cartridges then switch off the printer. Unplug the power cable. Remove all papers. Then plug in power cable and restart it. Install ink cartridges and see if that works. If not use your phone and install HP Smart App. Check what issues it says in the app. Then fix it. I hope it works for you.

Hi , try to reinstall colour ink cartridge. It may be not installed properly.

Your printer needs new ink cartridges. That should fix the problem.

If its original Ink cartridge then it should work. Check if its installed properly and if the seal is removed before installing.

Try to clean print head. If that works thats good or may be its internal issue of the cartridge.

It may be disconnected from wifi.

It means the printer has some error. Try to unplug power cable for 15 minutes and then plug in againand check.

I think the starter ink cartridges are about to finish as they are always low in ink. You need to buy new ink cartridges.
