I like Jessa's method to remove those little shields, which is to stick the blade sideways and cut the solder around the shield. No heat to remove it! Could save a lot of time not to split the sandwich!
Great work Jesse! I never split the boards when working on the backlight on 11. I just use some Kaptan to tape them around so they don’t split… always works
Use lint free cotton swabs. That'll pickup all the flux with some alcohol and keep the board clean. I would also recommend angled lights such as the gooseneck led spotlight which you can angle so that the light from your microscope wont reflect back up and instead, reflect at an angle. The board will then become more visible and clear. Anything reflective such as shields or flux can distort the image through the microscope.
I usually just use my snips to break the shield for those. Put them in the hole where the no stuff IC is and clip it. Takes some patience but saves time from splitting sandwich

I literally explained it in the video It's safer to split, do the repair and put it back together Otherwise I can mess up the sandwich trying to fix the issue on the top board

Hello Can you please guide MN kindly I have an iphone 11 in charging issue The battery connector on board has 3 positive values One the main value is 290 The other two one have 300 but the other value is 1.200 rather it should be 300 because of this value the mobile phone is not turning on but it remains on apple logo please guide me what's the issue and what is its solution
