*Edit - The FSR Setting seems to be removed, i don't see that option anymore, likely because it being broken they removed it. But rest of these options remain and v-sync seems to be the most problematic one, turn it off.
It helped me a little bit I can finally see clearer with the game graphics moving is a bit easier but when I open some things it just stays stuck honestly.
It's because it looks bad, normally FSR has multiple settings but this one was the lowest and was on in recommended gaphics preset i believe so maybe they'll re-add it 'ater
Wuthering Waves uses Unreal Engine 4. Unreal is a more powerful engine, but its complexity can lead to performance issues, especially on lower-end devices - as seen with the lag problems in Wuthering Waves.
idk friend, i have 32gb ram, ryzen 5600 and 6700xt gpu, i don't think it has much to do with your device, but ofc having a low end device wont help the case either
Are you using WiFi...? If you are... Play right next to the WiFi Modem... Or... Make all the other people in your house connected to the WiFi Modem to stop using the internet for the duration you are Playing Wuthering Waves...
Maybe it was the case on your server 4 days ago, but personally I've been doing fine at a stable sub 100 MS with 5G mobile data on Europe server for the 3 days I've played
I’m having this same problem. Never any actual gameplay impact but the weird jumps in pings is strange. With HSR I have a similar problem, but with Genshin I don’t. It’s bizarre
Easy answer. Wuthering Waves uses Unreal Engine while a game like Genshin uses Unity. The engine Wuwa uses is graphic heavy and so there is a lot of optimization that is needed. People could say “but they had beta tests, these issues should have been dealt with already “. The issue is that considering that there is so many people playing Wuthering Waves, there just was not enough data to go around when it came to their beta tests. I don’t think there’s one company in existence that’s even tried to test how optimized these types of games are on different low and high end devices considering that there is so many of them. It’d be great if all our phones were all just bought from one company then optimization would just take hours to fix, but considering everyone has a different brand, these kinds of issues are not super surprising.
The lag is still awful but it loads a bit faster than before. The first day I played, it was very laggy but I at least made it to the city. Now after I have updated it to 1.0.2, it's literally unplayable lol but thanks. Hopefully it'll be better by tomorrow 😭🙏
the issue is not just the game but also servers, this helps with the game side, at least for me it now finally feels like I'm playing at 60fps instead of 30fps, but random lags from server side still present themselves, that only WuWa can fix :(
same first day it was nigh unplayable for me but now i can reach 20-30 fps but still suffer from stuttering and occasional freezing, especially when going to another part of the map. i let the game sit for 10-15 minutes after each teleport because it gets smoother after that
Try this. Go to graphic setting, set to advance, turn on all setting to max, turn off blur and vsnc. Low the resolution depend on ur device. I got 40-50 fps with just amd 5600g.
I think it’s cus they’re able to do more flashy stuff with this engine. Maybe the simple details we see like facial expressions or fluid combat in Wuwa, is because of this one engine. Considering that this game is also for Mobile and PC, as well as PlayStation (at some point) wouldn’t be surprising why they picked this engine since other gaming engines could have made this game way laggier or trickier to optimize for different platforms. Kingdom Hearts 3 used this engine too and the graphics were great.
@@miguellecaperal7402 Unity is way more friendly for most platforms, tbh. It runs smoothly for both low end PCs and mobiles. e.g. HSR and Genshin both use Unity and are very polished and barely have lag on the low settings in low end PCs.
I’m honestly convinced this problem goes after certain people (myself included) and leaves everyone else alone already had this issue with ToF and now this shit too Years of waiting for this game just so this can happen
It may lag for some people but im surprized by the fact that it can even run on my 7 y/o phone. Sure it lags at even the lowest settings but still insane
*WuWa is very poorly optimized.* My phone has 128GB and can run Genshin smoothly. But when I installed WuWa, that sht immediately crashes when that city cutscene plays. :/ Srsly... a 28+GB game (Genshin) at high graphics can run just fine but WuWa, a 9GB one, at the lowest graphics can't???? I even uninstalled Genshin and tried WuWa again but still the same issue, so storage is def not the problem! Guess I'll just wait a few months to try again, I hope that by that time the devs have fixed and optimized the game better.
The open world aspect especially is poorly optimized it's abnormal, I only did some test on mobile with nerfing the graphics to the extreme with edited config script such as removing grass, almost no texture on environment, lower theview distance visibility, etc. And even downscaled the native resolution of the device to the point the game looks like pixel art, it's still overheats the phone like crazy with 999ms ping in no time. The non-open world instances tho, perform normally even with default config. Meanwhile, I can run well genshin in high graphics for long time as comparison.
I think the lagging is coming from no separate room servers. Beside the fact that choosing your country/region, they need to add room servers like TOF (Tower of Fantasy). Everything is just congested and crowded in one server for each country. Let me know if y'all agree, but I will try this method.
Bro you really helping me thankss,, seriously idk why is lagging or drop fps,,but when i turn off FSR and anti aliasing too,,Its so much better now (i'm using mobile btw) maybe not all people work like me idk LOL but really thanks
@@RealSayanOP Yes and the thing i hate the most is the new version of my phones processor is 2.5X faster than my phone i should have waited for few more months
I did those and set the graphics to lowest at 720p and it still lags When you don't move your character or camera, fps becames stable, but when you move, that's where it lags.
@@BeeAVillain You won't be looking at outline details in fast-paced shooter game. This is an open world RPG where you'll be looking at character and enviromental details at every moment.
@@crabapple. A sacrifice for better gaming and not spending money for a better pc/phone. I turned it off, it's not so bad... But I have been gaming since the 90s so im used to bad graphics 😂
one thing that fixed it for me after everything else failed: switch your game file location from hhd to ssd (its usually the Local Disk C:). delete/relocate the folder and change the directory path of the launcher to a folder inside an ssd. this completely solved the problem for me. from 10 second stutters with no audio to 60 FPS no stutter. if your game is already on ssd, its over for you (lol just wait for the devs to fix it)
@@jaredjaree4150 ssd would usually be your local Disk (C:) while hhd can appear as Local Disk(D:) if you have em. can't exactly tell without check it yourself
@@LemonPop93 if you wanna find out if its the correct drive or not then you can search on your windows and open "Defragment and Optimize Drives" and you'd see which drive is the ssd (solid state drive). if it still doesn't fix your lag and loading issues then you really have no choice but to wait for kuro games to fix it themselves. i guess you can store it anywhere in the mean time
They should add 420p resolution or lower ( to gain much like Doom-eternal smooth frames per second ) in full screen option just like the ones in customized settings did in Tower of Fantasy ( same Unreal Engine ) because hi-res settings is very cpu/graphic heavy to run on average ryzen 5 laptops. 420p resolution and lower is fps smoother but with the cost of jagged pixelated graphics.
now that you mentioned 420p res, my question, is Wuwa able to run in an Bluestack or Mumu emulator ? because i remember being able to choose lower resolutions on the emulators settings, soo if it works it could be an solution for low end PC users
@@Dropa-mine Better set the main desktop 420p first then run the PC launcher, after that alt+Enter to fullscreen manually. Though I haven't tried those Bluestack/Mumu emulators. Wuwa and Tower of Fantasy both run the same engine it is already tested very smooth as butter in lowest resolutions better rather than 720p default sweet spot resolution.
Try moving the game over to ssd if it's not already. That for some reason fixed my lag issues and also as it's supposed to just makes the game load faster, which is really nice.
I used to have ping issue and lag issue and heating issue. But now ping is okay but it's still lagging. I turned off everything and kept everything at low🙂
If you're on PC, expect issues playing this off a HDD, it really needs to be installed on an SSD, otherwise you'll likely get insanely horrible load times and stutters.
1.- v sync helps synchronizing frames to your monitor refresh rate, can deactivate it and activate g sync or anything else from the nvidia control panel. 2.- any not so old gpu can have AA (antialiasing) active and not affect performance more than 2-3 fps. (what does AA do? It removes triangles in textures, depending on what AA the game uses, it removes further away triangles or the closest, etc.) 3.- Volumetric fog just adds visual fog so you can deactivate it (it's a bit demanding so might improve performance deactivating it). 4.- if you see your screen "slow" or "too blurry" try deactivating motion blur. It has almost no impact in performance but some people get motion sickness with that effect on. Yourwelcome.
Its weird but I have lagg spikes anyway, in other games with the same requirements I dont exepriment that and even I can open my browser, when I play wuwa and open a browser my pc wants to crash- I mostly have the problem that when I have lagg spikes and move the camera, it moves too much
This is my personal settings I'm currently using to run mine smoothly. 1.Resolution low/medium 2.Fps 30 3.Anti aliasing on ( to smoothen sharp edges and no harsh pixels) 4. Turn FSR, capsule AO, motion blur off 5. shadows low 6. Special effects low I recommend lowering brightness to lowest, it looks better IMO Also If your phone is too hot your phone chipset will experience performance throttling and will start to lag, i recommend using a phone cooler to prevent overheating, cools my phone from 38° down to 34° - 32°
or if you don't want to lower graphic's quality, what helps the most for me is changing the screen's resolution to the lowest. literally nothing changes quality wise, but lag-wise, i have NONE. ZERO. highly recommend
Does anyone have any advice for me. In wuthering waves if i am in any domain, event (battle event) and tower ( end game) basically not in open world then even at highest setting my game does not lag even a bit ( constantly 58-60 fps) . But when i am in open world, no matter i am at which setting( heighest/ lowest) my game lag soo much. Too much fps drop. (30-45 fps even while standing and picking any material)
If youre sudden frame drops and the ping increases, its really on UR4 since it compile shaders particles. To reduce that just run the game and just play the more you play the lessen the frame lost (if the game os closed you have to play it again )
I actually had distant terrain get cut vertically without v-sync, just looked terrible when looking around and the scenery is cut in three or more :^) So I'm now playing with v-sync on
main problem is its builded on UE4 which is one of the most unstable engines around. just turn down shadows on medium/special FX to low. Nvidia brothers keep runing DLSS on auto and Focus on ON. It will help a little but there is zero change in performance between All lowest and highest setining maybe 10fps in some situations.
If you are lagging and your game is installed on your D drive, try installing it on your C drive. It completely fixed everything and can now run on high setting when it couldnt even run low settings. Lemme know if it helps
My phone plays just fine at max settings, the game says my phone is overclocked, which may be true, but its a redmagic 8s pro which was built to do that and stay cool anyways, and to be fair it stays around the same temperature as the air around it so it does its job well
For real. My laptop can't run this game at all. I wish they made this game with Unity like Genshin/HSR and not Unreal Engine. It runs like absolute hell on my device.
the ONLY time i get smooth frames is in the little domain areas that are seperate from the world. other than that if feels like im running at a very unstable 15-45 fps
I have one problem now, if I collect Echoes and chests. My game litterly lose frames for a sec, when I do that. That's not that uncomfortable, but still not the best feeling
Try moving the game over to ssd if it's not already. That for some reason fixed my lag issues and also as it's supposed to just makes the game load faster, which is really nice
💀Wuthering Waves in my PC like bad fps, but in the next week I edited config in the main files (work perfectly, much smoother than first time installing)
Meanwhile games like Solo Leveling Arise, PGR, Honkai Impact 3rd as well as Honkai Star Rail run fine here but WuWa goes brrrrrrrr. I'll have to wait for more optimization to occur. I'm still getting lag spikes.
Me (from Philippines) In my infinix note 12 (helio g96, 256gb variant)... wuthering waves seems smooth and never lags...since i play that game around 1am to 3am hihihi😁😁😁
i have everything turned off and everything else on the lowest that is possible, and its still lagging. the ping goes sometimes from 32-50 to 120-320 for no reason.
Probably the game hasn't gotten fully optimized. I've seen many players complain about this on reddit despite their out performance build. Another thing is they have lesser graphic setting than normal game does. They should add like ped reduce (well WW has a lot of npcs roaming around the map); far rendering and characters detail since I got an issue that in dialogue, npc details are blurring, their face, clothes,...until I zoom right into their face.
@@galvinfalcon my device is not this strong but it can still handle it. I had tried flying down from the top of the mountain where you find Virgil's chair to the ground. It was smooth af. But in other scenarios, I got hella stuttering when I did something fast or too fast
Because FSR (and DLSS) are supposed to boost your performances... this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. it does come with inconsistencies but for people that are experiencing lag with a decent device they would see little differences between max settings and lowest settings, the performance issues the game has is just not related to graphic optimization issues but are more of a dev issue. Changing your graphic settings will only slightly impact your performances if they even do. I would just suggest putting up with it until 1.1 or whenever they do fix these issues. One thing that might help if you are playing on PC is to move your game to an SSD if you've installed it to an HDD, it might legitimately boost performances. Honestly if you can run games like genshin there's no reason why graphically you wouldn't be able to run Wuwa, as a 3D artist myself I can tell that the models and everything are extremely clean and well done, this is on the dev side.
Turning off vsync wont help vsync just locks ur frames to the hz of ur screen if ur frames exceed the hz of ur screen there would be screen tearing thats gonna make ur game look much worse
It's different for me on my mobile phone i used the Lowest settings and turned of every thing but stayed on 60 fps But it still lagged then i tried the medium settings but when fighting a boss it lagged so much so i Over clocked it on the Highest settings on FSR and Bloom and everything, it worked I my have underestimated my phone 😅
I turned off all of these and it worked so much, just sometimes it lags still and i believe there is nothing that can fix that so ill just wait till the game develops more
Phones like poco x6 pro 5G can handle wuwa very well, other than heating problems its all good if you play in a cool room. I don't recommend using ROG phones (from 5-8 series) as their heating problem is more serious than mid spec phones.
