@@sumedhajha4046 actually, I have found out that the keyboard controller needs to be replaced. this is just a temporary solution (which may or may not work) that would just wreck the ssd in time.
I'm so thankful that I found this video. My laptop's keyboard wasn't working and when I gave it to a shop to fix it they said there was no way to fix it but remove all the keys and put new ones and they were gonna charge me so high. I wasn't able to use my laptop for weeks. I unplugged my laptop, shut it down and pressed the power button for 60 seconds without taking out the battery. To my surprise all my keys started working. Thank you so much for this video.
Yo it worked as well Before I try this I tried everything else and even reset my PC but it didn't work out until I do this I too didn't get the battery out But unfortunately now I have to download all the apps again 😅 Recommended for everyone 😍
Here's what worked for me. Under the keyboard settings, look for "use filter keys" and enable/disable it, depending on where it currently is. This fixed my problem immediately.
Thanks for this. It helped, even with some modification. I can't remove the battery without unscrewing the entire back panel of the laptop. Didn't want to go through all that lol. So I shut down and held the power button down for 60 seconds with battery still inside. When I powered on, keyboard was working again.
Thank you for this video! I have a Lenovo Legion laptop and the keyboard stopped working. I could plug in a usb keyboard and that worked just fine, but the keyboard built into my laptop did not. Oddly, all of the function keys still worked but the capslock and QWERTY keys wouldn't work. I tried a simple restart. I uninstalled, reinstalled and updated the drivers. I checked sensitivity and other keyboard settings, but still no fix. Based on what you said here, I unplugged the laptop and shut it down. I couldn't figure out how to remove the battery but I held down the power button for 60 seconds anyway, then I started it back up again. Well, this comment is proof the keyboard is working now! Thanks , my keyboard wasn't working since last 2 years , I was working with external keyboard, I uninstalled the driver and restart the computer and boom, it's working, i am very happy, thankyou so much
I do not recommend following the steps in the video cause it didn't resolve my problem. Try long-pressing your laptop's power button till the screen goes black, then press the button again and it will boot. Comment if it worked thanks! (Check if the keyboard is working.) P.S And yes i did edit this comment to make it more understandable.
thank u so much, the last one method worked for me. 😊 i uninstalled the driver, then restarted my system, then again checked in device manager - it showed driver installed itself without installing again. and its working fine now.

This is apparently a very typcal problem. But in my case the solution came very unexpected. After the main battery (the big one) was changed, I found out that two wires (the black ones) were not orderly arrangend back under the small hooks and got trapped under the screw fixing the base. There was some shortcut or leakage resulting in malfunctioning of mouse pad, keys and fast discharghe of the battery. I re-isolated these wires (using professional tape), regrounded the base using some thin aluminium strip (these appeared damaged!) and remounted it all. It requres a very good magnifying glass when working on the innards of a Lenovo laptop! Closed it all, screwed it all tight and after a few restart Windows picked up and fully automatic restored the Windows OS.

amazing thanks! I have had problems with C and M not working for any months and was very annoying. I couldnt remove the battery so just took out the power lead and held the power button for 60 secs. And it strangely started working again!
My screen flipped upside down then my keyboard stopped working even after restarting to did the 2nd method without removing battery pressed power button for 60 seconds and now it works Thankssss

This is common problem in Lenovo laptops , some specific keys like w,e,s,d,x ,etc might not be working. This issue is common in lennevo laptops.First disconnect the charger.Then the working solution is pressing and holding the power button for 1 min and release it back . Hit like if it worked.
In my case, strangely, only the functions keys work. Pressing Shift 5 times activates Sticky Keys, so Shift also is working, but no other key works! I've tried all above methods, but to no avail. External keyboard works.
I have the same problem. But here is the weird part. My keyboard works just fine if I go onto Chrome. But when I try to type/search for something the search bar on the windows menu or any of the office programme my keyboard doesn't work. Any ideas?
Yes I connected external keyboard and opened device manager.. keyboard driver not updated properly,so downloaded driver using "driver identifier portable" software... Driver installed now it's working fine...
my keyboard has just recently started doing this thing where specifically the S, D, F, J, K, and L keys specifically stop working occasionally. (i have the exact same model of laptop in the video, the ideapad gaming laptop, the only difference is that the plastic part that the keys sit in is black instead of blue.) I didn't spill anything on my keyboard or drop my pc or anything like that. Can anyone verify if the "uninstall keyboard" thing is legit, or if it's a troll to screw up my PC even more? It's a little difficult to tell now that youtube removed the dislike number... no offense to the video creator.
Mine still won’t work. It says it has the latest driver and doesn’t need a troubleshoot or anything. The power button and the brightness button is the only thing that works...
Iam so much frustrated, If i had a gun i would have shot someone......i even thought about banging my laptop with a hammer, then i imagined how would my father beat the shit out of me if i do this😐.....so here are the steps that i tried..... Deleted drivers and reinstalled them Updated BIOS Reinstalled os from windows website Ordered and reinstalled recovery media from lenovo Removed battery, cmos and performed power drain Tried the registry thing Changed to legacy support Changed cmos battery Disconnected everything from motherboard for one week and checked again NOTHING worked for me......still the issue is not resolved.......mine is lenovo ideapad 330......thing is keyboard works fine in bios, i even checked every key by entering password in bios( not activated the password option, just checked there).......but when the windows loads its not working there.....any one whose got the solution kindly update here. I installed new drivers to keyboard from windows update...since then I cant use my keyboard... And cant back driver either... tryed to reinstall winows. same problem
Holding down the power button for 60 seconds seems to have worked after it restarted. Didn't disconnect the charger . Just disconnected the external mouse and keyboard. Not sure what caused this in the first place
my keybord works, Just the Q key will not type without pressing the shift key. I have to use cap lock then shift for lower case. Also the WIN key will not work without pressing the FN key. I am certain its a software issue. seems my FN key wont release those keys.
This computer sucks. Had it only a year and now the "s" key keeps repeating when nobody is even touching the keyboard. Really frustrating. Will never buy a Lenovo again!

My space bar and enter key was not working so I took out the battery , pressed power button for like 30ish seconds and then put the battery back and then restarted the laptop and yup it's working 👀✨😀
