Same problems on my 16 Axys- got the frog skin kit for the hood to keep snow out of the not so “water proof” relays and replaced the burnt wires coming from the stator. Just can’t run to muck voltage like the hand warmers and high beams at the same time. Might have to go further and replace stator and regulator

Good to hear man, how did you get to that connector bag? I had to replace a fuse the other day, only way I could get to the bag was moving the oil tank out of the way lol

On my sled im able to work my hands in between the bottle and the plastic. Once in there I can move the bag around to check out the connections.

Having the same issue with my 16 but haven't started throwing parts on quite yet. I'm checking this first and hoping this is the fix. Last season under warranty if I remember correctly

I have personally only seen this issue on 2016 sleds.

Did you ever get DTC error codes with your sled? My 2015 Pro X is having similar problem except runs fine on startup and idle but once warmed up won't accelerate and continues to foul the PTO plug. Mag side remains intact. I get a 636-8 code which is faulty crank sensor voltage. Though others are saying to check the fuel pump....

Also very common for the relays to go bad. There are two by the spare belt and one in the Velcro bag above the clutch cover. I spent so much time trying to figure out my low rpm issue ( would only pull 7600-7900. I wouldn’t ride these 800’s without extra relays.

Mine got to 4000 rpm then it would get a DET code then just wouldn’t go any further then 10 feet without shutting off.

Can it just be the relays causing that 200 rpm drop?

I wonder what made you’re connectors melt up? Definitely looked like a high resistance was at the connections

I wish I knew. The dealership couldn’t really give me any good ideas either. Maybe a power surge from the stator they said 🤷‍♂️.

I have been having issues with my 16 also I'm having a bog issue when I try and pin it from a stop I just check my connection and mine is melted. We're you having bogging issues also and low rpms sometimes mine won't ideal right ether.

I didn’t have any bog issues. Just low rpm. Not idling right is usually fixed with a TPS adjustment.

Ok thank you. I had that adjusted last year and still did it afterwards. I'm wondering if my reeds might be bad. I'll look at that next. Did you mention that polaris did that as a warranty. Do you know if it might be recall at all

@@mattmuecke9158 yes mine was covered under my warranty. I bought the sled new and extended it for a few extra years. I caught all the problems a couple months before my warranty ended. As far as I know Polaris never issued a recall for any of the wiring on the 16s.

Just curious why would you think motor mounts would have anything to do with rpm?

Bad motor mounts are gonna let the motor over twist and the clutches won’t be aligned correctly.

I have a 17 600 axys that is doing the exact same thing.. i have done every last thing you have with no good results. Anyone hear of the 600 doing it as well?

I have never heard of a 600 doing this but it wouldn't surprise me. What exactly is your symptoms?

Have the same issue, been blowing exhaust sensors every sesson. Then the error code 173 3 comes. Changed the sensor 4 times but still comes back at me with broken sensor and code. Then i rebuild the clutch, new motor mounts and ev relearn, still missing 200-400 rpm at almost every pull. Looked at my second connector from voltage regulator, and 2 yellow pins are burn. Is it the voltage regulator i should change along with sensor for ev or is it the stator? greets!

I can’t say for sure on your problem. I had my stator, voltage regulator and the entire wiring harness replaced.

@@FeederCountry Hi, just checked the wiring harness for my sled and the white connector from stator was totally burned. Ohmed the stator and it had good values. Changed the connector to a more water proof one. Will be testing the sled tomorrow. Hope this solves my problem.

@@Snikegutten oh man. I can’t tell you what to do. I can only tell you what the shop did for me. If the connections of the wiring harness were burnt I think you gotta replace the whole harness. Not just the connection. Them wires are fried too.

Dam just picked up a 17 today axys 163. 10/21 hoping no issues. Wonder what can be done if anything to prevent it.

To my knowledge nothing can be done to prevent this. Doesn't mean there is not one. I just have not heard of it. Having said that, I mostly see this on 2016 Axys sleds.

@@FeederCountry I just ordered a new Stator, Voltage Regulator, and waiting till payday to order new coils plus I need to send out my Throttle Body because my TPS is off by .100 it’s at .870 I can’t get the correct .700 I can’t wait till I get her up, and running
