Hello RU-vid! In this video, we will show you how to fix your microphone (or sound settings) if it is not recognized by your laptop or computer, or if it is not working properly on your PC. This fix is meant as an easy and quick way to get your microphone running again but it this doesn't work, the recommendation is to first restart your PC after all the solutions and fixes, and then try reinstalling windows. Meant for all current Windows versions: XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and of course Windows 10.

thank youuuuuu! I was struggling with voice recorder for over a month. tip at 8th minute to download the audio driver from manufacturer website (HP for me) worked. My voice wasn't audible after a recent windows update and downloading those drivers finally worked (there were 4 drivers, I just ran them all one by one lol). bless you!

Hello! I want help with something: I did the steps in the video (including the reset), and it worked fine when I reset it, but now it isn't. The mic works when I used my headset, but since it got broken I wanted to use my laptop's mic. When I did the steps, all I could hear when I was testing my mic was static, no actual feedback of my voice, please help me!

My mic still isn't appearing, its plugged into a mic audio splitter which is plugged into my laptop, the 3.5 mm jack is type TRS and the splitter is TRRS it has worked before like this the only mic appearing is "realtek(R) audio device" and that's my laptops built in mic, please help.
