You are definitely a lifesaver. you really helped me. No sound whatsoever. Somehow Cortana being helpful deleted my ALL my audio devices. After 3 hours of looking around my computer, I found you. This video really helped. When my laptop's speakers stop working, I thought to update my laptop ,that was taking hours. I forced shutdown my laptop and update got cancelled, it took some time to restart my laptop and after that I tried this video and did exactly what this guy does and my audio problem got resolved. I figured it out! My sound only worked when I had my earbuds in. Each time I tried playing a video with sound, I could hear clicks that come from the speaker. Out of spike, losing hope after watching countless of videos, searching through websites. I slammed my hand against my laptop and sound blessed my ears. Moral of the story: violence is the answer.

THIS WORKED FOR ME! Well, i must say that i have tried a lot of downloading and installing Realtek drivers, installing/uninstalling/rolling back drivers, and also uninstalling devices. But for me helped a sample rate change, and precisely as you have said, to the last option [192000 Hz]. After a lot of time spent searching and doing all sort of things, this has helped me a lot. Thanks again for this!

Thank you, we've had no sound for 2 weeks! Upgraded to Microsoft 10 & lost sound. Our tech repairman said speakers not connected? They were, we tested them elsewhere, they worked. My issue is solved : Following are the steps I followed: 1. Went to official website of my computer(lenovo). 2. They scanned the PC to know to the Serial no and Model no of my PC. 3.The list of Drivers occurred on screen and they advised to install the drivers. 4. One of the drivers was ' Realtek High definition driver' which was missing from my computer. 5. After the installation crackling noise issue was solved.

The second option worked. Thank you! Every time my device updates, I have to and make Realtek High Definition Audio the sound I want. It keeps wanting to use Realtek.

@@aidenhocking7991 You'll want to download Realtek High Definition Audio first. You go to your Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers. Double click on your sound driver, go to the driver tab, then click on Update Driver. You'll want to to use "Browse my computer for driver software" then "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer". It'll give you a list of sound drivers that you have, and you follow the directions. It would require sometimes that you restart your PC for the sound driver to take effect. For me, every time my PC wants to update the sound driver, I have to do these steps again. I hope this helped.
