Well my buddy bought 2 chromecasts and decided his son wanted sonething else so i grabbed it from him for 45$ and got it for my gf. She was using the 2nd gen f.s and was about to get a 4k f.s. but i surprised her with that instead. I know you like the google c.c. im loving my shield but the c.c. and shield are a lil diff huh? Like the play store and the android systems differ some huh? But basically are alike right? I got her set up with RD,51829986 f.l. lol and a few apps. Shes got Weyd,tyohoon cinema and Netflix and she stays in those 4 basically. I like it just not the remote too much
Hello hope all is well. Yes cc is google tv which is essentially the new branded android tv. Has a few extras which I don't bother with like "for you" tab since I stick with syncler, cyberflix, pluto & locast which is literally all I use:-) Playstore is very similar though. The remote is to small & I don't like where volume buttons are. It's so slippery.. I got a cover which makes it 100 times better you can pick one up for 3-5 bucks but makes a big difference. I love it though one of my favorite Devices. Sounds like you got her all set:-)
@@streamandtechnow Let me ask you this. Do you have your tv paired with that c.c remote. Meaning if you turn off the c.c. is there a way to do it like you showed me on the f.s remote when it paired. And yes i remember you telling me that using multiple remote's is a deal breaker for you LOL. P.s. i have a photographic memory
Yes you can have it to control power & volume just like firestick remote. The only catch is for some reason certain brands of tv were left out in coding implementation... So if you select your tv brand & it's not present or it doesn't recognize tv brand which happened to my cheap ass westinghouse:-) I chose samsung & it worked. I made a video on it just in case. Wasup. I have problems casting to my TV it's a ghia TV and it's kind of different I don't have the chromecast built in app or the system app and I can't find it on the playstore can you help me out please!
For me, step 3: It didn’t initially say “update”. So I uninstalled it thinking I could just reinstall it. But after I uninstalled, it said, “update”. So I did, problem solved! Thanks!
So for me all three of these were fine. What I ended up doing, was uninstalling the updates and then reinstalling the updates and it fixed my problem. Hope this helps somebody
@@shan1630 not sure. but try uninstalling updates on your tv. And than update. Phone, try uninstalling the app and reinstalling. I didn't have that problem but good luck
Whenever i cast my phone to my infinix android TV it actually connects but it doesn't show on the TV screen but when i played music i can hear the sound

Must both devices really be in the same WIFI-Network? Isn´t it enough when both devices are in the same network? Like for example: Mobile phone connected via WIFI and the other device connected via Ethernet cable -but as said both in the same network.
even though this is 2 years ago gave some tips that was helpful. I believe was the Router needed rebooting that fixed it now why would that be the case... I even did a reboot of my EKO 4k Android TV and my Win11 laptop Nitro 5 just to really see would be able to screen cast. I now have devices that can choose from even the TV is there so I am happy taken 3 days to try all types of fixes. I even cleared cache and memory from the Chromecast built-in might as well do everything all at once 😉

In my case (Sony A80J) Chromecast is visible and not disabled in the system apps list.... yet it isn't visible under "All Apps" generally. Wth is that all about?! Thanks!!

I'm using my phone hotspot to tether a new Android tv with Chromecast built in. I did all the steps from this video but no screen mirroring is showing. Is it necessary to have home Internet instead of hotspot to get it done right? 🤔
well it didnt really work, its on latest update, not disabled it was just moved to a different room with a different wifi, its even cabled wifi so it shouldnt be so bad
If your streaming off your phone a movie and that movie has the romantic icon I push it it wants to load but the it don't so I ha e to s reen mirror my phone
Thank you so much! My chromecast has literally not worked on my Hisense h9g since the day I got it. I've always just used the "link with tv code" option, but tonight I wanted to use an app besides RU-vid so that wasn't an option! Anyways it was step 3 that worked.
Hi Stream & tech, i have a first gen fire tv box which is trying to update, however, i get an update error which loops over & over. I've tried unplugging the box but to no avail keeps looping. I would hate to restart to factory settings. Any thoughts?

Hello, essentially means remote participants outside of home or screens shared within the same room....so in other words each shared screen can be assigned to a display. If there is only one screen in the room, you can toggle between which screen is being displayed Doesn't work with all devices unfortunately
Step 3 worked . Chromecast was installed so i uninstalled chromecast found the app in play store then reinstalled by clicking update, it now works fine thanks for great video.
Well, my problem is that when I'm using the phone web browser and want to use the Chromecast features my tv appears in the list. But when I pressed it and the logo of Google appears on the TV screen it doesn't show anything, not even the audio. I deleted the cache, uninstalled the updates and re-download it again I still have the same problem when using the web browser Chromecast. But when I use the RU-vid Chromecast whiting the RU-vid app, the Chromecast works just fine.
I did everything you said. I can see my device on my mobile app but when I try to connect to it it does not cast to my tv. I’m on the same Wi-Fi network. Any advice?
My Samsung TV with built-in Chromecast won't let my phone or laptop cast anything other than RU-vid, really nothing else can be cast. The Chromecast built-in app is nowhere to be found on the TV. Also, nowhere on the TV can I find any option to show system apps, not following your steps or any other guide found on the internet (the manual for the TV is very superficial, and no help at all). The Chromecast symbol just does not turn op anywhere on my phone or laptop, other than with RU-vid videos. On my phone in Spotify the symbol that should lead to casting to the TV is there, but after tapping it, the TV is not shown as a device to cast to. If, on my laptop, I force the Chromecast symbol to always be present next to the address bar in Chrome, and click it on any website (except YT), like streaming services I use, it says "[TV] Samsung 6 Series (43) Available for specific video sites", and clicking it does nothing. If I do the same when on YT, the part "for...sites" is missing from that text, and you can actually connect when clicking it, and the video is shown on the TV, but choosing to "Cast screen" instead of "Cast tab" gives a "Source not supported" message, instead of "Available". I just got this TV from an acquaintance, who could always cast everything to this TV with their phone. How do I fix this?
@@blazer8519 Unfortunately not. I have called Samsung, and been called back by their technical guy who remote logged into my television (or something like that). But he could not fix the problem. He said that I would have to wait and hope a future software update would solve it. Obviously, I did not want to wait, possibly even for nothing, so I connected an external Chromecast device to the TV, as if the TV was not a smart TV, and now successfully use that for casting. So much for 'smart TVs'. Good luck with finding your solution!
Thank you so so so much for this! We got a Philips The One for about a month ago, and since then, we have not been able to cast. Step 3 was the solution for me. I clicked on Chromecast, uninstalled it, and when I reinstalled it, the update button was there! Again, thank you very much, this have been annoying me😅
hello i wanna ask i've sorted out the chromecast problem so now my device is able to scan my tv, but do you why it fails to connect? im talking abt netflix in particular, it scans my tv but it always fails to connect and says try again later. thank you, great video!
I have a Sony TV X900H and I am new to Google and Chromecast. My built in does not appear in apps but when I click on the Google Play Store, I see a screen to verify its me, when I click next it asks for my Google Password but at the very bottom of the screen I see, "use the keyboard on your mobile device". What does that mean? My mobile device does not have the app anyway, so why would I be asked that? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
I tried everything in this and other videos, and nothing worked for me. Then, I connected the TV and phone to another wifi network and it worked just fine! So, if nothing works for you, try to simply change your wifi name (it is what i did) and maybe that solve your problem 🙌
Mine worked for a few seconds then stopped and now when i try connect the tv shows up on the phone but nothing comes on the tv,and if i keep trying the tv looses connection to the wifi and becomes difficult to reconnect,very annoying,its a new tcl tv with built in chrome cast and a htc u11 phone which i would of thought would be new enough to do screen mirroring.please help
Is there a way to fix the quality bc whenever I connect my laptop to my tv the sound and image quality drops significantly is there anything I could do?
Everything shows up OK on the phone but when I click connect on the TV name on the phone then press connect,nothing comes up on the TV,the volume thing works on the phone, it did work the first time I tried it but when I went into an app on my phone the mirroring stopped and now won't go on again,please help

I still can't figure it out. My girl has an iPhone and connects to the TV perfectly fine. I just got this s21 ultra and can't do it. My last phone could tho.
My icon shows up but when i click cast to family room tv it never connects .it worked without problems for so long and idk what happened . I cant even sign in . Cam someone help pls
*JUST A HEADS UP TO YOU ALL* CatMouse streaming apk dev, just tweeted out "its not worth the hassle anymore". He shut down the app, and is giving up on any futher development of the app. I hope this is not the writing on the wall for apk streaming. There are still some good apps out there I use daily. Just watched Coming 2 America, cause I'm too cheap to have Prime. 😂
