@@kenshowtosandreviews4320 not at all. Your video helped me out in fixing the same issue, same model. I had to fill in the details but it was still helpful.
on my dishwasher opening the door compresses the spring. At that point I am able to latch the hook back on and the tension keeps the door from slamming.
@@kenshowtosandreviews4320 it’s not compressed on kitchen aid, just like in this video. What i did I placed a towel over it and pushed in down with my hand. You need to push it down about an inch.
