The software update is what caused the no sim card problem in my case. It started dropping my calls saying no sim card and emergency calls only. I am going to try this.
I'm trying all this on my android phone and I'm still getting the invalid sim card read at the top of the screen. Just as a side note, this only started while changing to the Qlink sim card.
It could also be that the company or device can't interchange with the other company. Say u have Sprint... U can't use that Sprint phone at cricket. I do know Nokia is also not compatible with cricket either
This did not work for me as well but luckily I saw a video where they say you can put some tape on the back of the sim card to hold it in place. That worked for me. Hope this helps.
I have Xiaomi Note 4x mobile. The problem is a particular sim company's sim is suddenly stop working. I wanted to try the process u showed in this video. But my mobile doesn't have any app called SIM TOOLKIT..so what should I do? Update: I replaced the sim card from the sim company, now it's ok. Problem was in the sim card, not in the mobile.

I’ve tried and it still doesn’t work. I just transferred all data from s8 to s10….all was good except this issue. I tried all the methods. This is a T-Mobile sim. T-Mobile didn’t appear as one of the available network, att and Verizon did, however it wouldn’t allow those to connect. This is a used phone from best buy. I’m lost. Help pls
I'll be bad if I don't leave a comment. This trick here worked 100% for me. I was about stressing my self to go get a new SIM because it wasn't detected. I had to do some research and found this video It was so helpful, as my SIM is now detected. Thanks for your explanation.

This was the most helpful video I've ever seen. when your phone doesn't work it feels like the end of the world especially for me I'm a truck driver I use my phone for GPS and to call my dispatcher and when I'm in the middle of nowhere it's frustrating when I can't make a phone call. I took my SIM card out did everything you said to do and now my phone works perfectly fine even better than it did before thank you you're awesome

Hi thank you for making this video! My Samsung tablet doesn't have a network internet setting option to turn on ten off the SIM card setting. Instead I found a spot that states "UICC Unlock, your device is locked to Sprint Sims only" What can I do now if anything? The tablet also has a "hands free activation" thing that is supper annoying. Please help! Someone was saying something about rooting or roots???
Saying from my experience⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔ If you face this problem (sim support on button phones but not smartphones), you have to replace your SIM at your nearest biometric-friendly store or help center.
Hey Yendry, amazing videos, just to the point. However I follow all this steps, I also did a factory reset, but my phone is still not woking. I have a Pixel 3a. Any other trick you might know? A repairing store said it might need a new mother board and it is not cost efficient. They said I'm better off getting a new phone..... Any advise is appreciated. Gracias!!!
