a very good idea though seem to have very little knowledge about the device you were working with, instead of using extra power supply for the fans you should have just used the already provided fan ports on the main board close to the sub woofer port which is controlled by the system and provides a smooth 12v dc for the fan. that's the port I have been using in all my Sony dz series for my clients. otherwise you are good
I was aware about those fan ports because Sony actually used to provide cooling fan installed in this home theater initially, though they stopped doing so later on but I didn't have connectors for those fan sockets on PCB. Also that socket was meant to drive one fan not two so I was worried about overloading it. However the most important reason I used a separate power supply was to be able to control the fan speed using a speed controller. During winters, 8000 rpm fans are too loud, especially when I am recording my voice for RU-vid videos, so I needed to be able to slow them down just enough to decrease noise while ensuring sufficient cooling. I didn't want to make it too complex otherwise I could have made automatic speed controller for fans too using a thermistor, but I was short on time and I had to finish all this within a day. I may do this in another video if I get time.
No, amplifier heatsink is the hottest part in cabinet and its heat should be expelled out as soon as possible. If you put fans as intake, hot air will have to travel entire cabinet while heating all other sensitive components like ICs and capacitors which will reduce the life of the entire circuit. Even Sony has installed cooling fans in the same direction in their other home theater systems and in inverters too you'll notice same cooling fan setup.
You can, but results won't be impressive. Optical port requires a fully digital amplifier (like DAV DZ350 is a fully digital amplifier), if you use an optical to analog converter, audio quality will get ruined, instead use good quality RCA cables.

Overheating issue hai. Cooling fan lagalo pehle fir check karo. Agar fir bhi protect likhke aata hai toh Ram IC badal waalo motherboard ki kisi technician se. Shayad amplifier IC bhi damaged hogi aapke case mein kyonki cracking sound bhi aa rahi hai toh vo bhi badalni padegi.
I wanted to see and make a fan power adapter for my Sony amplifier. My amplifier fan is not working .But I can't find the video in the description nor in the channel. Can you share me one if it's a part of another video or anyone else's video which is reliable?
You are the first viewer who's actually interested in the power adapter that I made for controlling the fan speed. I have not edited the video for this yet, but in case you really need it I can upload it sometime later on.
@@M-DIY I mean i need it. I have Sony DAV-DZ 151KB and the amplifier fan is not spinning anymore. I am worried now that it might get heated and i have been keeping myself form turning it on. I decided to open it and cool it myself rather than get it repaired in future when any problem arises due to heat. That being said, i can't/ won't force you. I found a fan with a regulator on amazon but only two reviews on it said the regulator is not working as it supposed to do. I will prefer now to create myself one. Again i can't force you; but will still keep an eye if you upload it later on. Thanks a ton for quick response.
@@M-DIY Quick update. I tried to connect it in PC in 'SYSFAN' and found it not working. Purchased a replacement fan from a local shop and attached it with previous fan pins via connecting the wire since new fan had different pins. I will enjoy it for now like this until i find some pretty reliable solution.

Need help my friend I also have Dav dz350 in 2017 i have purchased.now the problem is on remote Tv hdmi option is not working I can't hear sound from tv , error is coming"no signal etc"otherwise all options are working.Can you help.

@@sagarkadam_ Service center guys always want to replace entire motherboard to make $$$. Motherboard will cost you like 10-12k I guess. First explain the issue again so that I know I am not misunderstood. You want to play audio on theater from your TV? You can either use RCA cables or optical cable for that.

I tried using optical cable also but not working.service center said motherboard cost is $ 11100 .He is saying after that it is work.dvd disk tray is also not opening.Can you repair.....or i should go through service centre.if you do i m sure will save my money.
@@sagarkadam_ You want to play DVD on your home theater and have connected TV through HDMI for video right? Then it should play audio through its speakers and give video signal to TV until and unless it specifically tells unupported dvd format which is unlikely. Sorry I am not a professional so I can't repair it for you. There is a guy on RU-vid who repairs all Sony home theaters. He is in Maharashtra maybe you can call and ask him? He will repair it for pretty cheap price.
Most probably RAM IC ka chakkar hoga. Poora motherboard company 8000 mein badlegi. RAM IC badal waalo, 1000-1500 mein kaam ho jayega. Pehle check karlo ki koi capacitors toh leak nahi hai naa.
