How to Fix Press PS Button to use Controller on PS4 (Best Method)

My brother gave me his PS4 and he gave me one of those controller station chargers that charge it where you plug in the headphones cause he broke the usb part hoe you normally would charge it. My controller kept staying white, but couldn’t get past the “Press the PS Button” screen and your video fixed it. 👍🏼

what about if your controller isn’t connected to your ps4 at all and a usb cable isn’t working either?

Straight to the point and exactly what I needed to do. Apparantly something goofed up in the middle of me connecting to the internet with the ps4 and it wanted to do a million updates...which I didnt want...so as I was trying to cancel the updates it locked up and I had to manually reboot it. Then this happened upon rebooting. Couldn't bypass this screen until seeing your video. Thank you!

i went on and connect my ps4 controller to my pc to test if the buttons are working, turns out the ps button is always pressed and there's pretty much nothing i can do about it

I have an aftermarket wired controller that depends on the PS4 for its power. Any fix to get past that screen in that scenario?

Accidentally fixed it another way by unplugging it and plugging it back in but it did help me

Not your fault but did exactly what you did on my older Samsung smart tv and it appeared to update but the desktop icon underwater theme still there and no Samsung TV or tubi or Ruka etc apps like on my newer Samsung smartTVs
