My Plants were starving in my first indoor grow. I learned a lot and using more calmag and nutritions is one of many lessons. Nice clip

I've had plants with green stems and plants with purple stems. It's never been an issue.

for me its always sulfur or calcium. Water in a little less than one table spoon of calcium sulfate (gypsum) per 5 gallons. Its really cheap and works very fast.

High intensity lighting will cause red and purple stems.

That’s good to know because I have mines right under this mars hydro tsl2000 n tha whole stem purple from tha bottom to the top😊

@kendalesmith8178 If your plant started out green and the stem is purple from top to bottom. You most likely have a cal/ mag deficiency. If it started out with a purple stem from top to bottom its most likely a genetic thing. Yes certain lights can turn stems purple but those are usually blurple lights and it usually only effects the top 3rd of the plant.

The cherry pie strain I am growing looks amazing healthy but yet has had purple stems from the start. I believe it is just genetics.

All of my cherry cuts were similar. Obviously lots of red and purple but they threw hugs nugs…it was just lacking THC content. Gave up on the cherry train

I would say purple stems are because the ph is way off, by then the soil is hot because nothing can be absorbed (ph lock out) flush and check ec and ph.

That would only take care of a magnesium problem, i use cal mag + it has iron and a few other micros, i also put in 2 tablespoons epsom salt for slow release mag, and 1/4 oyster shell for slow release calcium, per each 7 gallon fabric pot

I get purple or red stems and it’s like a sun burn. The same thing happened with my raspberry canes this year. They grow and then lean over and all the sides facing up are purply red and under then us green. I get the same thing under the nugs or where there’s a thick fan leaf stem going to the plant that’s provided a tiny bit of shade, but I don’t get light burn, just sun burnt stems
