How to fix rear cup holder vw golf mk5 

My kid keeps kicking this apart. Without this video I'd never figure it out 👍

Thanks for posting this. I honestly didn’t watch the whole thing but just giving me the clue of how to get the assembly out and the confidence that it can be fixed was a great help. The whole assembly will pop out of the larger trim piece and I found that made it a lot easier.

Thanks a mil. My 11 year old followed the tutorial and fixed it. He didn’t, however, take the housing off, he just did it in situ 👍🏻

Just one question … when somebody kicked it , a little plastic wheel came of , i believe the one that makes it come out slowly and raise up slowly … i have it in the back of my seat in that sleeve s-o i won t lose it … where should i put it back ? Now the cupholder is assembled , i assembled it like 5-6 times people keep messing it up but it does not have that resistence … it just falls down when you OPEN it , it doesn t come slow … Thanks for help!

What was supposed to be there from factory ? Got me an Mk5 SDI with the rear part missing same yours at the start. Can't find a lid on partsouq or aliex
