Had the same issue just a while ago. The slight difference was that, the Volume goes up ONLY even without completely pressing it. Tried doing software troubleshooting in the vid but none had an effect. So what I did was I pressed the volume up and down simultaneously for 3 times in a row. IT WORKED for me.

It would be better if you could add Closed Captions (CC) in this video as people who have this issue can't hear this video as the phone won't let the volume up.

For those who tried it all and still helpless, try putting your phone in ultra power saving mode, it'll stop all background activity and when you'll switch back the problem shall be resolved, it worked for me.

God bless you!!! Thank you si much for your help!!!!!!!!! The only comment would be that you should never reboot your phone while it automatically turns up and down the volume. The reason is that the phone enters a state of "fastboot" which is very scary because the phone is not responding at all and needs special treatment to get back to its normal state. When you see the volume going up & down NEVER reboot your phone. Trust me I did it and the result was that every app on my phone was deleted and I could not use it anymore.

If you're volume is automatically going down and you pull it up and still goes back down, chances are your TalkBack function may be malfunctioning. Turn your TalkBack on ( I guess it happens if you hold volume up and down for 3 secnnds together), then when it turns on, turn it off again in the same way. It helped me. I had no other issue. My talkback was malfunctioning.

Solution for me: Pressing both volume up and down simultaneously for 3 times. just 3 quick pushes, not holding for a longer duration. it works again. the other tipps had no effect.

I cleared system launcher cache again and again whenever problem occurred and avoided using button to control volume. Use upper control panel to control volume and it will work fine after some days

Ok the 30 second press, up and down button work for me

Pressing both button simultaneously works ....but for that if you're using hand you may not be properly pressing the two buttons at one time so for that my tip would be to use any hard thing..... this time I used a glue cap which was of the same height as of the two buttons and then I pressed it against it for say 20 seconds it may not get corrected in one time so don't lose hope you have to try multiple times ......this time .....when my phone started this problem ....third time doing the simultaneous thing becomes the charm

To begin, my problem is eventhough im not pressing or holding my volume button, the volume thing just kept popping up. And when i increase the volume and release the button, it automatically goes down without me touching the buttons.
