How to Fix Remote Not Working on Amazon Fire Stick 4k Max (Fast Method)

If your Firestick remote is not working, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Replace the batteries: The first step is to make sure the batteries in the remote are fresh and properly installed. Sometimes the remote may stop working due to low battery power.
Restart your Firestick: Unplug your Firestick from the power source and plug it back in after a few seconds. This will allow your Firestick to restart and clear any temporary issues that might be causing the remote to stop working.
Re-pair the remote: If the remote still doesn't work, you can try re-pairing it with your Firestick. To do this, press and hold the Home button on the remote for at least 10 seconds. This should automatically pair the remote with your Firestick.
Try a different remote: If you have another Firestick remote, try using it to see if it works. If the other remote works, then it's likely that the original remote is faulty and needs to be replaced.
Use the Fire TV app: If none of the above steps work, you can download the Fire TV app on your smartphone or tablet and use it as a remote control.

This is life saver video. My firestick is having this problem repeatedly. Sometimes it works and then suddenly remote stops responding then I have to follow these steps again to connect it back.

Mine is having the issue of having to put in new batteries everyday! Even though they work perfectly fine on other remotes. It’s so annoying not only having to put new batteries but also doing the whole reset process. I’m at the point of just buying a new remote because this seems to be an only issue im having

Pressing all the buttons then tapping actually fixed mine! Before dying completely it was sometimes pausing and unpausing repeatedly for no reason so probably a button sticking.

Restarting the remote (You know it's restarted as the light is orange on any button press) then restarting the 4K fire stick until the remote pop-up comes up on the tv worked for me 👍

Doubt started to fill my mind as I pressed the buttons 1000 times and then it just took over once I started banging the remote against my hand.... Safe to say it did nothing. I stopped following the instructions there and just cleaned the part where the batteries go in. In the process I kept pressing the little metal part that pushes in. The area didn't get much cleaner but my remote is back working so maybe just try pushing the metal thing all the way in and out several times

For ANYONE having trouble with the fire remote not connecting and after having tried everything to fix it! Only for it to STILL not work! All you need to do is connect the firestick to a Smart TV! Use the actual TV Remote to navigate thru the Firesticks menu. Erase the remote and re - pair it. If you don't have a Smart TV take it to a friend's house or someone you know that has a smart tv! And yes I've tried every single method advised by amazon tech support and on youtube, some remotes just did not pair until i did the smart tv remote trick!

I tried this advice, and see no way to delete the current remote that is set up, or is presumably set up; Firestick's menu is not clear as to whether or not there is an existing remote. So no go for me...
