In fact it's like the very opposite of sagging as the top of the door edge is actually hitting/rubbing the door jamb header. He has not seen this for like...FOREVER! Most doors generally sag over time thereby causing the door to eventually rub on the side of the door jamb but this door is actually rubbing at the top of the door header & not the side jamb. The door is raised up too far? Yes! & get this...this door has been like this for over 17 years & no one has ever noticed or complained about it before...go figure! You don’t use drywall screws for structure!!! They are brittle and not made for it. They will snap!!!

I know what you are referring to about drywall screws not for structural issues but I believe they work just fine for fixing sagging door issues. Thanks for commenting!

I agree with Ryan. You mentioned that you have snapped off some screw heads doing this . Drywall screws are too weak.

@@michaelarthur4764 In some cases drywall screws are too weak for structural items yes...but using drywall screws behind door hinges is ok to do. Watch this video again & you will agree... Thanks for commenting!

@@videojoeshows Well you mentioned you've broken some off. If you just use deck screws instead you won't have that problem. Plus you can get the ones with hex heads which will allow you to get much more torque on the screw and really suck that jamb in with much less effort. Drywall screws can work but why take the chance and why make it harder on yourself.

@@TheBrownSys I get what you are saying but for this particular door I wasn't to suck the door jamb over rather I do something entirely different for this particular door if you watch the video again all the ay through you will see. Thanks for stopping by!

I usually wear goggles when I'm drilling etc. but since I was down low while drilling I thought I could get away without wearing goggle but your point is well taken for anytime you use a drill... Thanks for your message!

Most doors sag at the top thereby making them rub on the door jamb way up high but this particular door there was too much of a gap at the bottom so instead of working on the top door hinge, I needed to actually push the door hinge out to decrease the door gap towards the bottom of the door jamb. See?
