Literally the only video of its kind I found on YT. It was exactly what happened to me. I feared it was more than just this easy fix as it was absolutely dumping/spraying water inside my trailer and dumping out the bottom. My o-ring was still on but it was askew on the spring and the end wasn't seating right. Thank you :^)))))))))))))))))))
I broke the old one by pushing with pump on... then I broke the new one the same way... now I know! After watching this I fixed the new one without even taking it out. Aces! Cheers!
THANKS! I’ve been battling a leaky city water inlet for two days on our trip, and decided to see if I could get to the root of the problem. I got the valve off the RV, and I could see the o-ring out of position, but could NOT figure out how to get the little white thing apart from the other little white thing to go further. Thanks to your video, I reseated the O-ring, and I’m back in business!
Thanks for posting this up. We have a new Micro Minnie 2108 FBS that we got last December and were de-winterinizing today only to find a gusher coming out of the city water connection when we turned on the water pump. Your video made it a quick and easy fix. Well done!
You could have tested the seal without re-installing simply by blowing on the back side of the inlet and verifying no air leaks under pressure. Nice video.

Nice video. I thought I was done de-winterizing. Did you find out the o-ring was missing by the leak or did you physically see it fly out when you push the white button? I had a funny thing happen to me. When I filled my freshwater tank and pressurized my system my freshwater filter canister was leaking where it screws in the housing. Couldn't get anyone to come out and couldn't find replacement o-ring until I happen to look on the ground underneath my trailer. I don't know how it got down there but it fit perfectly. Maybe in the course of winterizing we dumped water underneath the camper or it was a gift from God on a Sunday!
Question: is the purpose of the check valve only to prevent water coming out when using the on-board water? I've been looking for the check valve that prevent the fresh tank from filling while on city water. Mine stuck a couple of time and I think it may be wearing out.
I took off that piece and looked all inside it and disassembled everything but it still leaks no matter what. The o-ring and everything is on as intended. But the o-ring I notice has manufactured gaps on the sides of it, it isn't a complete circle all the way around, it has 4 things sticking out to hold the o-ring in and small skinny gaps between those 4 things. I am almost thinking it was considered acceptable to leak when manufactured. Or that the metal or something had a lot of wear over 32 years. I just don't get why it is leaking but I know for sure it is that similar piece to yours that you took off. Any ideas? Great video by the way.
Most likely because the o ring is dislodged inside the check valve right at that location. If the rig is pressurized from your tank it would come out there.
@@ChadwickFamilyFilms Mine drips too, maybe I got the wrong o-ring but it came with it when I bought it. It has some gaps around the sides of the o-ring that I can tell were manufactured that way. But I think that is where the water is escaping. You think if I got a new o-ring that fit it would solve it?
