When I walk up to blinds doin this, I take a width measurement and drive to Walmart and spend $20 on a new set. You actually “fixed” them. 👏 more patience than I’ve got that’s for sure! And the pups were probably the cause of the broken blinds lol
Haha…I debated heading to Walmart. But decided to give it a look to see if it was an easy fix. They slowly got worse over the course of a few months then all of a sudden collapsed to one side.
@@weekendhomeprojects yeah I hear ya and $20 is like 4gl of fuel plus the 4-5 gallons to drive there and back you’re spending $40+ on a $20 set so makes sense to look at’em.
Good video, thanks. My blinds cover the two windows and the space between them. There are 4 strings and it seems to be the left side, one string in (the third string from the right). I dusted the blinds, and in the morning we will take the blinds out completely, and examine the cords going down that part of the blind. I sense there's something that needs to be rewound or dusted in there, and I will try very hard to get this fixed. I'll let you know if I do fix it. If I don't I'll say "What now, pray tell?" Thanks
If you have a fix for a mini blind that only goes up part way, I'd really appreciate it! It's about 5 feet wide so it's heavy and one of the strings is a bit loose at the bottom but all the slats are threaded in. thank you!
