Thank you for your work on this video, it was perfect! I was searching all over the Internet and RU-vid for information on how to fix a thermistor error and came across your video. I have a different model than the one used in the video (DV45H7000GW/A2), but it was pretty much the same steps of the process. I also enjoyed the Wally out-takes. Always good to have a dog help out on the job. :) God Bless!
We have the same dryer and we have had nothing but trouble. First it was the he code then the te code and now it says it's running but it doesn't turn or heat
I have a front loading Samsung washer and dryer. My husband has had to replace a few things on each over the years. The manufacturers make it SO ridiculous to repair them because you have to take them almost completely apart every time to get to anything. The actual repairs take no time at all. It takes me longer to remove my shelving and everything out of my laundry room just so he can take either unit apart. It’s really frustrating.
What if the thermistor has been changed, the control board has been changed and the temp sensors have been changed and you still get the TE error on a Samsung dryer? It's been a long arduous process of trying to get my dryer fixed. Thank God for my electric company's worry free program, but we've basically run out of ideas of what could be wrong. I hope you can provide some help. Thanks for your time.
I would check the wiring going to the thermistor. Also be sure your spade plugs are making contact with the thermistor. I once was about to throw out a machine until I did covered that when I plugged in a thermostat with an insulated spade plug connector it was sliding on the out side of the male part and felt like it was plugged in when it wasn’t. I hope you find your problem. Thanks for watching!
If you hear the motor running but the tub doesn’t spin it’s a broken belt. Open the door and hold down the door switch and push the start button to check. If it is a GE then once you release the start button it will stop running when the belt is broken.
The belt is probably broken. Without tension on the belt from the idler pulley the belt tension switch won’t allow power to the motor. A common problem with these is the idler pulley will fail and then break the belt.
I have a whirlpool washer that will go into draining then spins a few times then fills back up and goes into the wash cycle again anything will help...
Without being there to diagnose the machine myself I can only guess at the problem. I’m thinking your tub hub has failed and when the motor over speeds it will reset to the wash cycle. Here is a video about that. This was done on a Maytag but the two machines are basically the same machine. I hate changing bits and charging batteries. If I were building a deck or attaching metal siding I’d use a drill. But when you have to change tools often it’s just more convenient to grab the right tool. Thanks for commenting!
