i love this chapter. it’s almost as if elijah was the last hope for the brotherhood to TRULY evolve past their hermit ways, but he descended further and further down the ladder of insanity to the point that, even in a group of cultist super soldier heretics, he was considered TOO MUCH of an issue to keep around. it’s truly, truly fascinating, and i loved hearing your take on all of this. always love the vids n_orte, this one was a banger

I always try to help the Mojave BOS every way I can solely because Veronica is so adorable and pure and deserves the absolute best.

Yeah. I want them to be good so much. But they are a great source of power armor. Especially with Veronica's quests.

There's an animator on here "Sodaz" that is making an entire series of short films called Sunburst WIP that absolutely 🔥. It's the NCR using mostly WWI and WWII tactics and steadily overwhelming the BoS. I definitely recommend it.

"Mighty Idaho Chapter" has a nice ring to it. South East Idaho does have a massive nuclear research facility that the Brotherhood would go ham on.

I am the Courier. Yes Man run. My Securitrons are upgraded, Fort Securitrons are active. 1. Replace McNamara with Hardin. That also makes me a Paladin. 2. Establish treaty: the Brotherhood is allowed to police tech everywhere in the Mojave except Vegas itself. In exchange, the securitrons will actively protect and support Brotherhood members in the region. 3. Inform the Brotherhood of Big MT, the Sierra Madre, and the Divide, help them organize control over those areas.

The biggest problem I have with Mojave BoS is the complete lack of military discipline, and sometimes even brain cells, as a militaristic organization. This is best reflected by Veronica and her interaction with the Courier and members of BoS. She behaves more naively than a vault dweller, despite having spent quite a lot of time outside the BoS bunker. She does not use passphase to enter the bunker during a wartime (with NCR) lockdown, which according to military protocol will result in capture and questioning if not immediate termination. She will open the BoS bunker door for the Courier even upon first meet, and (it gets worse) somehow the entire BoS, from Elder to scribes, just trust the Courier with free roam around the base. She single-handedly created the biggest loophole in the security of BoS, yet they are OK with her operating in the Wasteland and immediately trust a stranger that picked her up less than one day ago. What? Who wrote the BoS faction to be this lacking in brain power? Mojave BoS getting wiped out is just natural selection at work at this point.

I would love to see more Idaho in Fallout, Its such a beautiful mountainous place- I imagine irradiated brown bears with 2 heads, mutated mountain lions, lynx, snakes, and wolverines- its got a history with nuclear development, all around i think itd be a sick place

I really like the Mojave Chapter, though the East Coast under Elder Lyons is my favorite, so I always help them out whenever I can. I think your idea is a pretty good one. Having the Mojave Chapter leave and become an independent Idaho Chapter or try to integrate somewhat into Mojave society to survive sound really good.

Imagine an alliance with the NCR and Brotherhood. They could even one day become a melded conglomerate, a military powerhouse. Too bad it most likely will never happen.

They are sooooo close to salvation yet they decide it's better to follow an outdated codex that is clearly flawed

For some reason, I've never gone far enough with the BoS to seat Elder Hardin. I also didn't know what needed to be done to get trained in power armor through the BoS rather than through the Remnants.

Can you imagine if the BOS and NCR joined forces and never fought? Pre war these factions were essentially one and the same as the US military and would likely be able to achieve both post war faction goals if they did work together. The NCR would be trying to restore civilization which as described by the outcasts in FO3 was the long term big picture goal of the BOS. Granted, the NCR are almost identical to the BOS we see in DC and would likely see the alliance as a poor commitment of resources and personal but any losses this would result in would pale in comparison to the benefits and progression to either faction's goals. Now I think the biggest reason this wasn't done wasn't for narrative purposes but rather that the balance between Legion and NCR would greatly favor the NCR.

there was going to be a fallout new vegas 2 under mircosoft but it got cancelled, and bethesda wanted to put an end to Fallout games until they made that awful fallout 76 but as we all know fallout 76 was just fallout 4 with a different coat of paint because most people imported the prydwen airship

I really look at the Mojave Brotherhood as a last remnant of a bygone faction. Their own xenophobic views taken to the extreme. They're spiraling and even the Courier, the great hero of the Mojave, can't bring them back to the forefront. The desert consumes all, no matter how hard we fight it.

WTF are you on about? No. First of all. The Brotherhood did not prosper. In Fallout 2 it was on the verge of completely collapse. It only survived by living in the shadows in old bunkers scattered all over the place. They also did not try to avoid conflicts with NCR but went on a complete full scale war with them. This is why you can be an absolute patriot in New Vegas and will explain to Veronica exactly what you think about the Brotherhood. This is a sure way to not be able to recruit Veronica btw. There is also a reason why NCR attacked Helios One outside of the fact it can produce power. It was occupied by a hostile enemy faction that threatens NCR in New Vegas. The problem with the Brotherhood is that there are two versions of them. You have the original Brotherhood as it is intended from the classic games and New Vegas. Then you have the Bethesda Brotherhood you can find in FO3, FO4, FO76 and continued on from that. The Bethesda Brotherhood makes no sense at all. The decision to split half of the brotherhood in the middle of a war, to hike all across the country to DC based on rumors is just a tactical insane decision. Those soldiers can have been used to fight the war they were losing. Also. They gave these troops the worst Power Armor they had. If they sent these troops on a suicide mission, why do that without attacking NCR? If they sent them to recover some unknown tech, why give them the worst equipment they had just to make it harder for them? The brotherhood is split into two. One where they abandon their original cause and one where they do not. Bethesda treat them like the poster boys for the series when they shouldn't be. So there is only one way you can get this idea where BOS prosper, and that is that you follow the Bethesda version and not the original version. This also makes you unable to understand the New Vegas BOS as they are the original version and not Bethesda version. The story that Fallout tells is about who can adapt and live in a world after a nuclear war. It tells stories of what people with advanced pre-war technology survive (Vault City). It tell stories about how cooperation is strength, but also how uncontrolled growth break society down (NCR). It also tell stories about what relying on technology and strict isolationism does when you refuse to cooperate with outsiders (BOS). BOS is a faction that FAILED. It failed to adapt as bigger fish from both sides showed up. NCR is a new faction with people who are less equipped and poorly trained (by comparison). Then you have the Enclave who are much better equipped, has better technology and are better trained. BOS failed because it did not learn the lessons of the wasteland. Bethesda however ignore this story and makes them a success no matter what happens because power armor and weapons goes burr.
