I love my ps5 but the audio/mic issue is so frustrating, my friend was streaming and as they were getting such bad feedback from me they had to mute me! I was using the controller mic as my headset mic no longer appears as an option 😭

I have a recording problem, when I save video clips of something that Just happened, while being in a party. It records my voice and the party chat, the problem is that in the clip I can hear my voice well but the chat party voices are way too low. You can barely hear them. Do you know how to fix this?
From the Home Screen press the PlayStation button. From the quick options bar at the bottom go to sound.from sound go to Voice Chat Balance and move the dot more in the direction of the headset( to the right ). That is your chat volume. To reduce the volume of your mic go to the mic settings and reduce the sensitivity. Let me know if that helps! This was a copy an paste lol

I keep trying to record game play with my friends, they sound normal to me but when I look at the recordings one sounds really quiet and the other one echos. It's not them either because even when it's different people it's the same issue

Sounds like a pc software issue! Make sure all your pc drivers are updated and make sure your graphics card is up to date… I doubt it’s the ps5 or the elgato..
i am using a wireless mic for my ps5 and i cant get my ps5 volume through my streams using obs i can hear the volume on my mic but my stream cant hear game volume
Thanks for the video on PS5 but I still have a question. Does my own voice (that the Playstation is taking from the USB Microphone for the party to be able to listen) how would the streamlabs labs or computer record that voice if there is no 2nd Microphone connected to the computer? Because basically the headset is only working for you to listen what comes from the TV and you are not using the headset Microphone.
You kinda answered your own question lol. You are def going to need 2 mics. I highly recommend the elgato wave 3! I use your same set up but just old school obs.

if i were to plug my usb mic to the ps5 and my headset in the controller is there a way i can record audio on the usb mic with the mic on the controller muted or disabled?
Once you tell the ps5 to use your usb mic it will automatically disable the controller mic. The mute button will still work! Also make sure you have record audio turn on in your recording settings. Good luck !
I have everything in the console audio options and enabled it to record gam audio/party audio and all mic audio and I still can’t hear it when I view the recordings in the media gallery in storage. I can’t even hear myself, friends, and my game audio

Hey so I'm having this problem do you have a fix for it. So when I go into the game chat from the voice chat I load up a game and it switches straight back to voice chat any ideas on how to stick to one chat?
@@allbad4u basically every game that you can use voice chat with my man. I'm currently using a turtle beach headset. Its like you load up a game finish it then kicks you back to party chat
@@allbad4u just like ps4 it would kick you back to party but then would kick you back to voice on ps5 it seems to not send you back to voice chat so you have to end up doing it yourself
@@seamuspurcell997 are you in any party’s you have not left? The ps5 makes you manually leave your party chats... there is a setting you can change in your party chat setting too I believe! I will look into it when I get home from work today!
This is crazy I have Astro a40tr. You can hear everything party audio game audio and me but when I’m in a game the game audio over powers my voice and I sound low. I don’t have a chat link or another mic
This is how you press the capture button and then next to the Broadcast bottom there’s a settings button click that and go to Include your mic’s audio that how mine was fixed

That’s the problem… only way to fix it is to use a pc to record voice and game play on your end. The ps5 has some issues it still needs to be figured out..
Your audio? If so you may need to turn on the mic audio in the video capture settings. Party audio? I believe there is also a setting for that is the capture settings as well.
@@saint1141 are you using an Elgato? It’s because the PS5 can’t do dual audio output like the Xbox, you basically need an optical audio port and an optical headset, either that or use a chat link cable
@@demideity4496 it’s somewhere in your Sony settings brotha.. be sure to check all the settings again in the main menu and the quick share button settings.
Are you only using one usb mic on this set up?? I’ve been trying to live stream with a capture card but the only way I can capture both game audio and all party chat audio is to use two usb mics. One connected to my ps5 and the other on my pc. I’m basically trying to replicate when you just hit the share button on ps5 and you’re going live and all audio is recorded seamlessly and I only need to have one mic. Of course I want to replicate that with a capture card so I can have overlays and face cam but I’ve been having trouble figuring it out. So yeah lmao TLDR are you using one mic that captures all party chat audio as well or are you doing two mics like I am? Thank you!!!!
2 mic’s @pao lol same set up as you. But the blue snowball is an older mic and it works great on the ps5. I also use my elgato wave 3 on the pc with an elgato hd 60+. I use obs to record and stream video and audio coming from what ever system I am playing. I only use the elgato to get audio (game and party) and video to record or stream, nothing more lol. Obs is the main choice for customizing my streams. Long story short it’s a 2 mic set up but my stream/recording gets the better mic (wave 3) and my group gets the poopy mic lol.
@@allbad4u we usually records clips from the PlayStation on the PlayStation but recently a friend got the ps5 and enabled his voice to be shared but you can’t hearing him in the clips
Hello and good morning I have a elgato HD60S+ on my Mac and I have a chat link cable setup to my controller to record all audio from my ps5 everything works but where I get stumped is that I have a external usb microphone and I want to be able talk to my party chat/game chat with it but also put filters on my mic like in OBS while recording I was wondering how do I setup my mic so I can be heard in game but also in OBS
I know your pain! I have 2 separate mics for my setup now. One for the ps5 party chat and one for the PC ( not Mac ). I’m not 100 on how Mac’s work but you may need a second mic! I recommend the elgato wave 1 or 3! I love my wave 3!

@@adolfoh22 you will need a mic for the ps5, a mic for the pc, and the head set for the ps5 audio. Hook the head set up to the tv or the pc there ever your audio is coming out of.
@@adolfoh22 well I have my headphones coming from the pc monitor. I have an headphone out that I get my audio from. I’d go with pc depending on your elgato. What capture card are you using?
Hey, I liked your video. Quick question. The problem I’m having is I have no chat audio coming through my live stream. Does this fix that? I use the Astro A50 I basically have to have a secondary controller on with a dummy account setup to have game audio come through slobs. I really just want my stream to hear my chat!!!
@@allbad4u I use the HD60 S+ and slobs from my pc but play on the ps5 I have the Astro adaptor because of the bull shit Sony pulled by removing the optic in. I have to turn on a separate controller from the ps5 plug an analog into the controller then to egato to make game sound work on slobs but no chat audio comes through
@@MrShetler ok so you got the same set up as me pretty much! I use my old snowball usb mic to capture my voice audio for the ps5 party chat. I have my headset plugged into my monitor through a aux cord ( using it only for game audio ) so the ps5 mic dose not pick up on the gameplay from the speakers. I use my elgato wave 3( mic ) for the voice audio on OBS (SLOBS is pretty much the same thing) for my stream. when you hook up the Usb mic to the ps5, it will send the game audio to the HD 60 s+ & the monitor so you can record it on your pc ( but not your voice, and thats a good thing because no echo from your second mic on SLOBS ). This is the only way I found to be able to talk to my buddies while playing on the ps5 and also be able to stream to youtube/twitch through obs with out any echo and have game audio. Hi hope u can help me ... I’ve tried lots of so called PlayStation RU-vidrs and none have even replied... why o why u can’t get teammates to come out tv or through Av amp speakers they only come out the shitty little speaker on the controller which is far to quiet... I have a Sony amp with two subs and 8 surround speakers so games sound fab .... and the PS4 team chat came through Av no worry’s but the ps5 doesn’t even though it’s show on screen hdmi Av amp 7.1.2 ... I have to ring my m8s to hear them please please help
AllBad4U great any ideas... I tried a cut off old headset plug into the controller that didn’t work trying to trick the system... it’s there’s no extra options come up when party chat starts.... not all of us gamers wear headsets
AllBad4U don’t think there is I run all audio through the song Av amp the ps5 goes into amp then from amp to tv ......all Sony need to do is add one thing on the settings.. chat through Av not controller or controller speaker a lot louder
