How to Fix the Rane 72 Crossfader for DJ Scratching  

setting it to 0 will be a sharper cut … if you have the MAG3 fader YOU NEED TO UPGRADE !!! to the MAG4 IT IS a night and day difference

Any reason Why do you you hate the rane 72mixer? I’m just curious because I love mine I’m still discovering things about it

I taped quarters on my ns7 to fix the cut

I been trying to set mine but I have the Rane 70

Is better to put a innofader I got a old ttm 56 I never use it I didn't know that mixer is not sharp on the cuts so I decided to put a washer on it to see if it cut crispy I noticed that the crossfader didn't wanted to cut at all. Fader was not sharp I was kind of tripping it supposed to be sharp so I hear it but I couldn't not cut it was not cutting sharp it was weird then after a while that the mixer got warm up for about 15 minutes I was able to cut n scratch n the fader sounding different n more sharp I was able to cut crispy n sharp is my first time using a magnetic crossfader is not like the vca crossfader that once I cheat a little bit by putting a washer on it it will cut more sharp but with the RANE ttm 56 magnetic crossfader it take time so i be able to cut sharp but once the mixer gets warm up the crossfader start to sound nice on the cut scratch n it sound sharp just like using a innofader I don't need to put a innofader at all cuz i did my research on line it said that the ttm 56 was not Sharp enough it had a lag on the cross fader is weird maybe cuz is magnetic crossfader but once the mixer got warm up for about 15 minutes I was able to scratch mix really nice I don't have to put a innofader cuz the magnet crossfader feel really nice yo what a different so for now i leave it like that cuz is sharp enough just like using a innofader is crazy. yeah so once the mixer get warm up I was able to cut crispy n my scratch sound really nice i just have to wait to the mixer get warm up is weird but it work once I cheat a little bit to take out that lag out I think is cuz the crossfader is made out of magnet 🧲 but it work so far for now I'm not going to put the innofader pro.cuz is working nice is weird but is sharp n it feel good how it cut nice in cheat the only thing I have to wait for about 15 minutes so I be able to cut Sharp is crazy weird 😂😂😂

I just bought the MK2 in Amazon and I just hated, the fader is mad whack same for effects. I came from vestax faders and they are way better :(. I will replace it by the Pioneer S7. Now I understand why Qbert and Dstyles prefer the S7 or the Elite over Rane mixers. Also, it’s curious that Precision and Rob Swift from Xmen migrated to Pioneer… anyways this mixer and it’s fader it’s not for me. No hate e-djs… hahaha

Leaving it at 2 is preferable. Any small tap and your audience hears noise. Besides, level 2 is way better for crabbing.

I feel like you're the kind of guy who doesn't read the manual. More of a random button pusher. You didn't "Fix" this mixer. You just learned how to set it up correctly. Good job? I guess?
