Many vintage Star Wars vehicles have an electric motor in them that makes a "battle action!" noise. Well, after about 40 years, many of these motors stop working. This video shows you how to fix those DC motors, and get them back into the sounds of 1978!
This fix works on all vintage Star Wars vehicles that use a motor. This will really work on any similar DC motor. You just need a few tools:
Dremel: amzn.to/3wv8OmW
Precision Screw Driver: amzn.to/3wzCcbu
3 in 1 Oil: amzn.to/3FS8vqv
Battery Pack: amzn.to/3Nk78DC
This fix will work on all battery powered motors used in the vintage Star Wars vehicles, including: X-Wing Fighter, Battle Damaged X-Wing Fighter, TIE Fighter, Battle Damaged TIE Fighter, Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor, the Millennium Falcon, AT-AT, Snowspeeder, Y-Wing Fighter, and B-Wing Fighter.

Thank you so much! My friend gave me an old Darth Vader Tie Fighter to see if I could repair it, and the motor works but is clearly filthy. This was exactly what I needed to know! Thanks again! (Edit: it worked! The motor runs like a charm now! Thanks one more time!)

My light and motor are working but the motor makes a screeching noise. Any advice?

It needs some lubrication when it runs but screeches. Put a drop of 3 in 1 oil (or sewing machine oil, or pneumatic tool oil) on both ends of the axle where it goes into the motor housing. It's tougher to do on the end with the gear depending on how the nozzle of the oil dropper is - but once you've got a drop on both sides, spin it by hand a few times, then run it by the batteries on and off for a little bit. I'll usually move it around to let gravity help distribute the oil as well - but 9 times out of 10, this will knock the screech down to a whir!
