Watching this has given me an idea of what to do with a project I've just started. Thanks for opening my mind..... Hope you're well soon and able to get back on the carving 👍
Thanks Jordy. I've seen that apoxie sculpt stuff but I thought it was just something for clay sculpting or ceramics. After seeing this video I guess I should have taken the time to actually read what it could be used for. Shame on me for assuming LoL. Rest & Get well my friend.
very cool video!! I have not tried to fill anything that i have that's cracked Like you said gives the piece character.. but i can understand that some pieces just don't need cracks... lots of good info in your video! this covid crap sucks it can hang around sometimes glad your still getting better ! Thank you for the video! Kick back relax and enjoy the down time you deserve it! you put in a lot of hard work for your channel and group! keep being you!! Stay Safe!!!
Jordy, the white putty of the dual compound looks like what the sheet rockers use on walls of a built house. Can some of the sheet rockers guy uses on a wall also do the job on cracks? I’ve never had a crack real big probably because I carve on elm mostly and those trees die before you cut them and the wood stays good for a good time but the wood is dry more or less when the tree still stands. Wood glue has been my primary use mix with sawdust but not the best look from that style patch. Happy New Year!
