OMG!!!!!!!! My site went white yesterday and I was trying ALL DAY to get someone to help me on the forums. I didnt know where to start. In a comment someone said they had a white screen. It works like charm. I was stuck at a blank screen for about 3 days. I tried and changed more than 4 themes. The same blank screen with only words. I watched your video yesterday and followed through. Where you replace 'false' with 'true', I just removed the space and boom. My site was back. Thank thank thank so much. Thank goodness, Adam, you show us the real stuff like a real human! Heh heh! I much prefer that you leave in this type of thing! It makes a much better video in my mind! Can I use your manual method to troubleshoot a problem since upgrading to WordPress 5? My problem is when. Go to edit one of my pages, I get a white screen instead of the Gutenberg editor. I can edit the page in elementor but I would love to solve the Gutenberg issue. I tried disabling all plugins. Didn't work. Installing the classic editor did work.

Extremely helpful video which is greatly appreciated. I got stuck with the fatal error screen in middle of uploading a theme. I followed your helpful guide and thought it best to delete the theme and reload but the toolbar will not permit "Delete" am I missing something?

Thanks so much for the awesome video! I'm with you up until I have to login to Wordpress -- it's not taking my login info. Even reset my WP password to make sure I was putting the right info in and it's still not working. I never login directly to WP, but go through BlueHost. Any suggestions?!?! hi very informative video...i have bought a theme from theme forest i have my own domain and hosting server(hostgator)....i uploaded the theme....the theme is succesfully uoloaded but there no ui,no control over theme,cant access any editors,even the theme is not showing,but in the dashboard all options are good...but not working ...just showing the wordpress (just blog) default page...can u help me what to do..?

Sir, how to fix this problem- (1)The REST API request failed due to an error. Error encountered: (0) cURL error 7:,(2)A plugin has prevented updates by disabling wp_version_check(),(3)The loopback request to your site failed, this may prevent WP_Cron from working, along with theme and plugin editors. Error encountered: (0) cURL error 7: kindly reply me.

It would not have worked on that site. Also, I would have had to scrap the whole video since I kept referencing I would show how to do this 2 ways. Not everything has to be perfect.

Actually, I had a problem on a client's site no later than yesterday... I think that what happened is that WP has auto updated to 4.9.7 and for a strange reason, it has wiped my wp-config.php file (was there, but empty)... Fortunately, I had a backup with the file in it, so I just copied back the content and the site was working again... Strange that it did that... So, always do regular backups...!

I have had that happen to me recently as well. It was caused by iTheme Security.

Hmm, have iThemes installed as well... So, it might be the faulty one (instead of WP alone)... What's strange is that I updated multiple sites at the same time (with mainWP) and it's the only one who had that problem...

In my case, I have a complicated setup and iThemes is not smart enough to be aware. I am using Redis which requires some extra stuff in the wp-config. So after an update it just trashes it.

By the way, you should add a link to the other VDO you did about the Plugin Detective that showed how cool Plugin Detective worked on trouble shootnig plugins that caused problems that did not lead to the WSOD. Hi Adam, no methods are working for me, can you plz help , I have changed a theme and deactivated W3 total cache plugin just before site broke, Wp_debug is not showing any errors ,tried changing the theme and plugins folder name one by one ,still not working. Let me know what can be the problem

@@dgmag9960 Deactivate all the plugins and theme one by one from cpanel and try reactivating them one by one to check which is creating chaos and then replace that plugin.

Sir, How to control this problem. kindly reply me soon. Your free hosting account is suspended for reaching a daily resource limit. Please note that each free hosting account has daily CPU, hits, RAM, I/O, and Entry process limits. During each day we record all of these usage stats. It is quite normal for a website to utilise daily limits as PHP scripts can use a lot of server resources, especially if you have multiple PHP scripts and websites in your free hosting account. Your account was suspended because you hit the CPU Limit .

Looks like you site may have malware on it. I would restore a backup or contact your webhost.

@@WPCrafter That's just the thing, I don't have a back up. 😊 I know that's going to sting you, coz I follow your tutorials and I know how much you emphasize on having a back up. But I hope it helps to know it wasn't intentional. The site affected is actually a subdomain and my web hosting couldn't support a back up. I tried to do it but I ended up overloading the host and affected all the other sites. So I deleted the back up. I figured since I couldn't back up, I'd just have to be really careful with the sites. So that's how I ended up not having a back up. Isn't there any other way? I'd hate to have to lose the site. Is it possible to revert to a former version of WordPress where the changes haven't taken effect? Or can I somehow get rid of the malware? I know it's a plugin that's caused the damage. It happened right after I installed it. I've gotten rid of it but the error is still there on the post.php file.
