when you're hot and you do the quick follow through and still know it's going in, it feels so good though lol. But you're right, it's not something to do all the time.
Lot's of elite shooters move their body first though such as Ray Allen, Kevin Huerter, and I think Brandon Miller. While I wouldn't teach it, it's not a bad thing as long as you can still get good power transfer. Curry and other players will also occasionally do this but only in specific circumstances.
idk but great nba shooters also have great follow throughs with their elbow always extends out so even if their legs aren't perfectly positioned their arm is always straight to the basket so even though they might make this mistake occasionally their arm strength will bail them out sometimes main part of shooting is your shooting arm
I’ve noticed I just shoot way to loose, that’s good if your already hitting but I noticed just starting out as and I’m no kidding a pure rhythm shooter I gotta stay a little more on the stiff side just to make sure my shot is on target.

Don’t do 3 pointers, not easy shots, I’m always open under the basket and get completely ignored because of arrogant players caring about themselves and wanting attention. I love being a center in badketball
