Ron, number one, that rip doesn't look like an accident. It looks more like a knife attack. Two, brother you've got to know when to call it on your jeans. Yes I've got some jeans patched almost as much. But hanging onto them has become almost an emotional attachment at this point. The fabric is getting thinner and thinner each washing. I do love the iron-on patches. It's a shame they don't build jeans the way they used to.

I'm stubbornly holding onto my favorite pair of jeans that I was wearing when I got into a car accident where I was lucky not to die, or even get a serious injury. Just some whiplash and a minor nose fracture and a cut on my nose from my glasses. Despite being thrown around the inside of my car. (No seatbelt, was parked on the side of a road and had just sat down when someone rammed into the back at 40+ mph.) The accident caused a tiny rip, and I've been wearing them for a year without much issue, but in the last few weeks that hole has suddenly expanded a fair amount, and I thought I'd be able to toss them and move on, but they're my most comfortable pair (no wonder, wear them all the time, they're the most broken in lol).

I have a few pair of pants for work that have a few rips and I wish I knew about ironing patches before I threw some out.

I am trying to fix my husband's work pants with iron on patches from Amazon. I tried to iron the patches. Patches did stick on the pants. Pants are of cotton material. Don't think that would make a difference.
