How to fix your Washing Machine, if tripping the fuse board? (Beko, Hotpoint, Indesit, Bosch, etc.) 

Hi, Did you moved, transport recently your machine? May wires were damaged during transport. Or the PC board is broken( transistor burnt). If you just turn on the machine and not start a programme I don’t think the heater would be the issue.

@@georgesworkshop8600 Hi George. It was the heater element. As soon as I disconnected the wiring to the heater the machine switched on as normal. I put a meter across the element and it showed good continuity, however when I checked each terminal to earth there was very slight ohms reading so element was faulty. I have replaced the element and the machine is back to normal operation. A very easy and simple job. Thanks for the inspiration👍

Many times when tested it seems ok, won’t diagnose physical damage like rust.

Hi Dan, It’s not clear. Do you mean end of washing cycle or drying cycle?

Which function is running when this tripping happens you should find the problem there.

@@georgesworkshop8600 no. I mean at the start of the final rinse. It turns on the dryer fan like it should. Then when it turns off the drying fan it trips the RCD

@@georgesworkshop8600 it doesn’t trip when the drying fan turns on but it’s when it turns off the drying fan it then trips
