🎉 My, single Zippo butane never had a problem but this double butane was a pain in the butt . But after watching your video works great now . Much Thanks !!
I don’t own one butane insert. I always seen the problems with them from your videos. But it would be nice to have one in my nice table lighters that I don’t edc. This seems simple enough and within my range of experience
Yeah they are fairly easy to maintain. Just a pain if u don’t. Bleed the tank before refilling and get a single torch !! Much more efficient and reliable than the double torch.
I'd filled and purged my relatively new insert, time and again with no luck. I was ready to toss it when I found your video. Worked like a charm! Thanks for the help!!
I had this insert sitting in a drawer for years. I thought it was useless. I decided to tinker with it myself, but im glad i had an example to go by. Thanks!
Yeah I don’t have a video showing it yet because I havent needed to do it but the electronic sparker there is easy to change also. U can pull it out of some the dollar store ones.
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors I ordered a pack of 10 Piezo igniters like you are talking about, tried to fix an old lighter, but the dang lighter housing cracked. Oh well.
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors It was 20 bucks, about $2 each, so kinda ok, not great. The problem was they were a little on the bigger side, had to file one of the ends down for it to fit in this particular lighter. You might get more luck out of your idea of finding a small piezo lighter from a dollar store or something, that might work better. I know BIC have those kind, wonder if that would be cost effective?
@@kismitscorner well the cricket lighters that have them are only 1.25$ CAN and the ones I opened up are very similar in size to the ones in these. More closer to the zorro than the zippo one. But gonna work when I need to make the change
This is great to know! I had a problem with my single torch Zippo, and this might have fixed it. It would light great outside the case but would not light inside the case. It was frustrating because the case is part of the Zippo attraction. I finally gave just the insert to my son as he said he would use it without the case and I put my Yellow Fame Zippo in the case. If you have an insert and only need a case EBay is a good place to look.
Yeah boss tactical sells cases for just cheap. Him and his wife run it they super nice. Yeah this will absolutely fix the issue. Turning it up higher probably would of fixed it for a minute though lol. Eventually u get maxed out on the butane setting and it need more juice.
You sir, are bloody brilliant! I thought I'd bought a dud and was about to buy a different brand Insert until I watched this!! Top marks my good man 👍🏻
Thank you so much. The insert aggravated me so badly after I got it I set it down for 2 months. Heard about your video and voila! Appreciate ya my man!
My single torch is still dead and am lazy to ship it for repair, the yellow flame is dying too it takes 20 strikes of the wheel to light it 😂 Switched back to good old regular insert in my Armor ❤️❤️ Nothing like it.
Lol try doing this to your single torch. Change the flint in yellow flame try it with a fresh one and fresh fill I was having the same problem. Couldn’t get it lit on live stream. Changed the flint it was striking first time
No problem 👍 glad it could help. All mine have the adjustment been using since the first month zippo sold these back in 2020. Edc the first one I ever bought right now to work everyday.
Great Tip n Trix thanks for uploading, you've been a great help dude! Good camera work, and commentary! Heres a Tip from me: Only ever use Premium Butane like _Newport Zero_ (Virtually Impurity Free) because over time impurities will clog up the "star" nozzle and your lighter won't work. But if you use the expensive impurity-free butane this will never occur! If its a normal BiC or clipper "yellow-flame" lighter then any old butane will do, but not jet flame, laser flame torch flame etc. Cheers! keep on Z!ppin!
Thanks mate it's first time using zippo so to look some interesting video about it's okay I have brand new petrol version but I don't want use I ordered today double torch because in UK it's wet weather wind etc the normal flame it's good inside but outside the best option it's the torch one electric arc technology it's totally rubbish useless thanks again and all best 😉
Dude... I wanna thank ya man... so much... I have an electronic repair shop, do mobile phones, tablets computers, electronic drums etc... I use this on my heat shrink sleeves. I would have never figured that out on my own brother… Or if so it would have been days or weeks I imagine... This worked so well… One ? Hope it doesn't sound goofy to ask... What is the initial cause of the misalignment? Any ideas. I have Asperger's, so it'll bug me till I figure it out... Is it from constant adjustment,- maxing out to the -neg and +pos? Or is it just as simple as… Shit wears out, man! One thing I can say is... anyone that is attempting to do this job, just make sure you have what ya need for the R&R… If you don't have multiple 20 somethin' driver sets like some haha, a Swiss Army Knife will do the job perfectly… I even did the job a second time to make sure... even has the tweezers to pick up that outer locking ring. Thanks again, Zippo Fanatic 77 Outdoors. I see that you deliver content on your channel regularly... I subbed and will be watching ;) stay groovy dude!
I tried 10 times to fill mine up but I couldn’t get it to fill. I don’t know if it was the brand of canister or what. Eventually the fill stem broke. I can’t figure if it’s something I was doing wrong, the canister or the lighter.
@Zippofanatic77outdoors im using ronson but im definitely gonna change to a more premium one but i fixed it, the igniter come crooked on mine so instead of it being inbetween both burners it was hovering over only one of then nkt igniting
Brother I've used octane in my Zippo recently. I'm sad that it needs regular fueling and have weird smell. I've changed the cotton inside and applied the sandwich bag technique perfectly. Feeling disappointed. Now show me a way. Again, here original Zippo fluid is costly and rare.
