Just ordered mine (and the traditional) can’t wait for them to arrive 👌🏻 will no doubt spend hours attempting to get the technique down and then using it as a fidget toy 🤣
@@twistedassisted3474 order did indeed arrive today, thank you for such a quick order turnaround! I managed a flip on the 2nd attempt, still need a little practice though! Fantastic knife. And the Traditional is a stunner.
@@twistedassisted3474 I was practicing today but my thumb slipped while the blade was stuck just past the half stop and I took a slice of skin off. Be careful folks and pay attention when learning the flip!
I've managed several flicks after getting mine today, but I have no idea how I was successful. 99% of the time, I'm not! Practice makes perfect, I guess.
On mine, on the side face down when flipping, a bit of the DLC seems to have worn away, perhaps from the extra friction against the liners on that side. Is that normal or expected? I've tried cleaning it a bit in case it's just a bit of the liner material getting embedded in the DLC. I'm surprised because I noticed it after less than a week.
Hi Jon, honestly it's just mastering technique and practice. But let's be honest, flipping is just a fidget novelty. As long as you can open your Junzi one handed when you need it, then that's all you need. The last thing I'd do if I used my knife in public is flip it open, people would assume I had a 'flick knife'.
@@twistedassisted3474 Agreed on that point, it is satisfying though, more practice needed, I'll give it a good clean when my order arrives, then a lube and try again 👍
Hi, I have a question. Are these made by Bestech or Twisted Assisted, or both? I don't understand how these collaboration projects work exactly, and searching online doesn't get me any answers. Do you arrange for Bestech to make these to your custom specifications? Or do you get permission from Bestech to use their design, and then you make the items entirely by yourself? Or a mix of the two? Could you clarify? Thanks!
We ask Bestech to modify one of their existing designs, they manufacture it to our specs, we pay for production, we retail it. That's pretty much how it goes.
I got mine last week. Think it's great. However, being a lefty I find it a bit difficult. Any chance you'll get some lefty scales in? I have a spare set and was going to try and drill out the pocket clip area myself. Just thought I'd check first.
Maybe the confusion about flipping open is because you can't. You're not flipping that open, you are 'flicking' it open. Big difference between a flip and a flick.
To flip or flipping is a colloquialism in the Knife Community meaning to deploy the blade one handed with a degree of speed or flourish. If you want to be pedantic about the English language then you're quite right. But language is full of slang, and colloquial terms, it's part of the beauty and colour of verbal communication. It would be exceedingly dreary to employ literal meaning to the definition of each word or phrase.
@@twistedassisted3474 you are missing my point. In the beginning of the video he said that people are unable to flip the knife. That is the point I am answering.
