Guys you do need Liability Insurance as per the new rules. So you have to get the insurance if you are registering or flying drone. The part where I said that you can fly with 20 KG that is only in case if the drone is not equipped with Camera. Thanks to @RuanScholtz who brought this point into my attention. Note: I do not need an insurance policy if I do not intend to perform any work from the air with a drone and/or aircraft model weighing up to 20 kg, such as filming, photography, advertising, surveillance and the like, for compensation or not, for personal or public needs. So, I will only fly a drone and/or an aircraft model weighing up to 20 kg for recreational purposes, for example within the framework of aviation model clubs and activities.
Hi, thanks for the helpful video. I own a DJI Mini 4 Pro and I'm wondering if I need to register it on the AMC portal or if I can use it without registering. If registration is required, I'm having trouble finding the drone option in the Activity Type and Aircraft Type dropdown menus. Could you please assist me with this?
Hello , Please use UAS Operator there in the dropdown you will find that. As you need to register there and use it to get the approval as I have showed in the video.
Quick question. am currently in Croatia, and I'm trying to fly my mini 4 pro. Every time I take off, I receive a large red circle on my rc screen, and I can not move my left or right. Would this be due to the restrictions?
I'll be visiting Croatia and wanting to fly my drone. How easy was it for you to get registered for approval through the AMC Portal app? I'm struggling to get any answer on how to register an account for the app, or is there another app available? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me!
But what is the confusion there which you are facing because I was able to register without any problem and some more people did here. Unfortunately there is no other app and you have to use this one.
Yes at the time of registering you can enter the license. Normally for hobbyist it is okay as I said in the video that it is not required. But I usually get a drone insurance from Getsafe, it cost around 8€ per month. ( I take it one day before leaving for the trip )
Croatian website says I need liability insurance, even for for sub 250g drone if it has a camera which mine does. Do I get liability insurance in Australia that covers me for overseas travel? I can't use Getsafe as it's German. You said in the video if your drone is less than 20kg it doesn't need liability insurance but you don't mention that is only the case if it doesn't have a camera. @@ChasingWhereabouts
@@RuanScholtz Yes if it is covering you for traveling to overseas it should be more than enough for you. I have updated the point where I said about 20 kg part, I have mentioned and pinned that in comment.
Thanks for answering! I checked it again and found it now. The problem occurred because I was working via smartphone and I wasn't able to see the scroll down list.. thanks again!
Additional question: you also received a mail asking for more information? Can't help it, but it's always so complicated, even with the great help I already got from you!
@@Rubinho101 I did not receive any email asking for more information, What is the content of the email. It was straightforward signing in for me like normal.
