How to Fold & Unfold Band Saw Blades | Tricks of the Trade 

This is so SIMPLE that I couldn't do it till I saw you do it !!

I have folded a band saw blade time and again, and each time I have not known which way to twist, so I twist one way, than another, re-twist, catch the blade on my glove and do it all over again. Now I see that you twist inward, thanks so much I'll commit this one to memory.

Thank you so very much. I run 2 band saws at work and struggle with this. Steel? No biggie. Pipe? I have a hoist. Curling up the used blade for the dumpster? The struggle is real. I will be watching this over and over so I remember. No phones out at work. I changed the blade on the big saw today. Coworker said he saw a video on yt about some guy sort of flipping it and it coiled back up. But I found you and feel I can do this. I'm a 58 year old women who has less hand strength in one hand due to broken wrist surgery. But on the cool side I'm part titanium now. 😂 Thank you for this.

Oh that is stupid easy - let's see if I can do it..

My unfolding technique is to throw it at the floor

I also 1) Point the teeth away from me. 2) Wear safety glasses. Things happen. Especially when learning how to do it.

New guys are intimidated unfolding 1.25” and 1.5” blades.

Chuck Norris doesn't wear safety gloves.
