Did you know that there's a storyline that unfolds every year at the PA Ren Faire? If you didn't know, then this video will tell you all about it! If you did know, then this video might help you better understand how to follow it by informing you on which shows you need to go see.
DISCLAIMER: We filmed this video in 2023 when the storyline scenario surrounded the Queen visiting the Mt Hope Shire for her birthday. Each year, the storyline changes, so the characters you see, and the plot that unfolds in this video will be different in future seasons. I remember one weekend at the Faire was “time traveler” themed. At the end of the night, the the actors for the king and queen from two previous storylines came on stage to talk with Queen Elizabeth and see how “life went on” after their deaths. It was really sweet and a nice callback for avid fans!

Time Travelers weekend always has some character from a past season, or multiple characters, show up during the finale show. You never know who or what to expect and it makes that weekend’s finales so special!

They are a LOT of fun! If you ever get the chance to experience a US Faire, you definitely will enjoy yourself. Though, not always historically accurate to the Renaissance, they do bring in historical elements that are really neat. Several years ago, the storyline for the season at the PA Faire was based on The Field of Cloth and Gold. We saw King Francis I visit King Henry VIII and they jousted each other and participated in other sport. It was so much fun!

I live a little less than 10 minutes from the PA Ren faire and it's pretty fun!

I love the Ren Faire plot lines! My favorite’s the 2022 Halloween plot when the Selkie tried to take control of the kingdom but the jousters (yes as in the good and evil ones) managed to get back control. I felt like they went all out with that performance. I’m hoping to make it this year and next year’s Celtic Fling & Highland Games!

My parents and I did attend the first 2 storyline shows when we were there. But since we had to leave early, we didn’t see the other storyline shows. But we did have a great time while we were there! Hopefully, the next time we go, we can see all the storyline shows.

Yes! We did renaissance style Dr Strange and Scarlet Witch cosplays. Actually, we pulled them together last minute so all the pieces were items from our closet!

Good question! We unfortunately opted not to make one this year. Our schedule did not allow us to get out to Yuletide in a manner that would allow us to film a whole video. Maybe next year? Yuletide is probably going to evolve quite a bit from this year to next, so it’ll be better to do a video on it once it’s more established.
