I agree about the knives. I love knives as much as the next guy, but it has become a fad and how people define blacksmithing. Even when bladesmithing is one small section of blacksmithing as a craft. Roy is great at blacksmithing- which is more than just bladesmithing if we're being honest.

Can't wait to hang up the coates for the season. Punching at cooler temps is very helpfull. Took me awhile to figure that out. It's the little details sometimes.

Coat hooks are cool in the neighborhood, especially when they are made by a cool cat like Mr. Roy! Basic simplicity and utilitarian design...from there the sky is the limit. The wife wants me to make her a set with the little dragons heads on both ends. Just a little bit above my skill level w a acetylene torch and a cross pein lol. I had a day session learning blacksmithing and he had me make a coat rack, 3 hooks attached to a back plate. I really enjoyed that. I like the hat hook you have added. I’m going to have to try that.

Well covers as a winter "coat"...Alway a help. I am mailing a bout 3 sets of hooks to some old friends and each can mount them differ to fit their needs such as someone has wants for a hook rack for 6 and some don't have the spot for it. They can mount on their favorite wood like oak cedar or "their" choice or a bar or steel.....or as you would say "what ever". You helped again thank you sir.
