Thank you so much. My guilt and shame runs so deep, I am unable to sleep more than four or five hours a night. I can't imagine being able to forgive myself for unintentionally, indirectly hurting family members I love -- family members who passed unexpectedly. So I can't rectifying my mistakes. I can no longer do right by them.

Take a deep breath and look at what happened. Realize there's nothing you can do about it now, dwelling on it won't help you, it won't help you pursue your dreams or help you live happily ever after. I have to learn to take this advice too, some helpful tips . . write it down then, rip out the page and rip It to pieces and throw them away. If it comes back tell you brain to stop, tell the thoughts to go away. You can't fix it now, so you need to move on. You can still mourn sure, but harming yourself isn't right. You're okay, it's going to be okay.

I couldn’t have said this better myself 🥹♥️♥️ Sending you both so much love. I know this is so so hard, but although we can’t change the past, we can absolutely change the present and honor those people we may have hurt by living the best life we can now, a life filled with kindness, gentleness, and compassion to those around us. And in turn, also extending it to ourselves ♥️ I’m praying and rooting for you ♥️

there were times where i either felt guilty about something that was my fault, or something that everybody around me kept saying was my fault even though it wasn't so i was guilty by vote. so either way my solution for both was me isolating myself from everybody and blaming myself as penance. isolation from those that i wronged by mistake, and isolating myself from those who said everything was my fault because i felt like a bother to them, but also because i shouldn't be around toxic people that blames me for stuff that isn't my fault anyway. but yeah i relate to what you said because i asked myself that too, "if people that don't know each other but knows you says the same thing about you, then there has to he some truth to it right?", and i'd use that as a way to judge and mentally punish myself even more.

Heyyy Dayton! Thanks so much for sharing so thoughtfully as always😄 🤗🤗. I love this and definitely hear and feel you! ♥️♥️ Something I would encourage is that as much as we can proactively remove ourselves from the negative (which is great!) we also want to be intentional to incorporate positive as well if that makes sense 😄♥️. So in this case, setting boundaries is for people that are putting you down is a really good thing… now how can we incorporate more of people lifting us up.. welcoming people that ARE in your corner into your life. And sometimes, many times, one of our biggest advocates and cheerleaders can actually be ourselves 😄🤗🤗

What led up to the events that led to this mistakes? 3. Are the voices of condemnation from myself or from other people? thank you for this ♥️

I want to acknowledge my mistake here.. I had got engaged to someone and that person was not into me ( I am Asian, arranged marriages happen without love) so we never got married. I broke up with this guy. I went back to my ex and proposed. I went into a relationship and promised him the world only to realize that it was not going to work. He tried his best but I could not. He was a rebound. He was in a lot of pain suddenly because of me. I am now beating myself up. To the universe and to my ex, I am sorry. I messed up again. I want you to live a good life and live happily with some one who will love you a lot. I am sorry God, if you don't want to give me a person, I accept that. Even if you want me to live in single blessedness, Whatever you have planned is for the good. Thanks if you read my story.

Thank you Nandita for having the courage to acknowledge your mistake here 💕💕 I know simply showing your mistakes helps other people realize that they’re not alone. For your particular circumstance I understand why you feel the way you do. But honestly forgiving yourself will be a huge step in moving forward. It’s not easy but if you don’t allow yourself this, then it’s possible you will still hold onto the baggage when you meet someone you do want to be with (and won’t allow yourself to love them or them to love you as you would desire). So I definitely applaud you for taking steps in that direction! Great work friend!! 😄♥️😍🙌🏾🙌🏾

I hear you friend ❤️... it looks like something specific happened 10 months ago that initiated these feelings?... I get it friend... but know that we all make mistakes - it doesn't mean you're a bad person, it just means your human. No one at all gets it perfect all of the time. My encouragement would be to, as much as possible, look back at that moment or any other moment that you feel like you may have failed and are finding it hard to forgive yourself and, as much as you can, try to humanize yourself. You are not flawed my friend, you are human ❤️ and each mistake is a chance to look back, see where we went wrong, practice self compassion, and move forward with the new knowledge trying to do our best moving forward. I'm praying for you and wishing you the best on this journey my friend ❤️

I was following you up until you described what grace and mercy is. I think the idea of grace, getting something you don’t deserve, only reinforces the guilt and shame and lack of self-worth (undeserving). And the definition of mercy also reinforces the guilt and shame, acknowledging that there’s some form of punishment that is deserved even though it’s spared. I think it would be much better/healthier psychologically just to forgive one’s self and others using the first two points you made in the beginning, acknowledgement & self reflection. Really good points 👌🏾 But Imagine how that looks to a child, demonstrating grace. You tell them they don’t deserve something because they made a mistake but bcuz of Grace u give them that very thing anyways because you love them. That’s great they know u love them but subconsciously they grow up believing themselves to be/feel unworthy of themselves bcuz of what they were taught Grace means. I think the church needs to redefine grace to mean “the love demonstrated to another because of forgiveness” rather than “getting what you don’t deserve” (again, reinforcing the negative) But everything else you said was on point sis 👌🏾 (in my opinion) Hope this made sense Take care
@NaesLaugh
@NaesLaugh 10 месяцев назад
Heyyy ReelEyez! I love this sis and I appreciate you for sharing your thoughts. 😄💕💕 I definitely understand where you’re coming from and how it can seem a bit confusing. Here are my thoughts and attempt to provide more clarity 😊💕. So God sees us with inherent worth - this means grace is actually not in spitee of our worth… but because of it. In the normal world you wouldn’t repay good for bad behavior - that’s just not normal. But grace says that even when you DO something bad, you still deserve good. That’s SO backwards but it’s also so beautiful. Something a lot of conscious parents say nowadays when their child does something that isn’t right, is instead of saying - you’re not a good boy or you’re a bad girl, they say you ARE a good boy / girl but the decision you MADE (I.e coloring all over the walls) wasn’t a good decision… and that’s the reality, we don’t always make the best decisions because we’re human and that is OKAY and EXPECTED. But when we don’t make the right decisions, the beautiful thing is that grace covers it and says “it is still okay” anyway. ♥️ We receive this gift of grace BECAUSE we are loved and have inherent worth, and not because of the opposite. Just like a parent wouldn’t shun a child forever because of one bad decision they made due to the love they have for them, we shouldn’t do the same. And God also absolutely doesn’t do the same. Hopefully that makes sense 💕 sending you so so so much love sis and I loved your response.

Ive been struggling with the loss of a friendship for about 6 months now, its been rlly tough because I'm extremely negative and guilty and shameful about it. my dear friend was a rlly kind guy, I loved talking with him and it felt healing to my heart. But the way we met was on bumble. Despite talking a lot how we see eachother as friends we both aaid things that friends dont say to eachother, and in particular did an action that was NOT what friends do .i beleive i crossed a boundary that he did not voice me,, I was scared I was falling in love with him at one point, amd was very clear in my communication with him about our friendship and stuff, I was mentally frazzled at the time. But, Im scared he genuinely had feelings for me, and thats how things lead the way they did. He was upset at me for sleeping with his friend, and once he got a girlfriend 2 weeks later, I told him i wouldnt call him out of respect since hes cery loyal and i dont wanna cross anything, he had texted me a lil here and there but after that it was done, no communication
@ix-cheljames3484
@ix-cheljames3484 9 месяцев назад
I regret the things that lead me to act that way with him every single day, I feel pain knowing he won't ever talk to me again, but i try to give myself grace in that at least now he can figure himself out and im not bothering him by sending him messages and giving him reminders of the confusing friendship he had with me, especially since he has a girlfriend

@NaesLaugh
@NaesLaugh 11 месяцев назад
That’s such a good question demilade! ♥️♥️. My response for something you may currently be going through is to determine what steps forward you can make in the now. Is there anything you can do to make it right? Anything you can do to reconcile the mistake? If so, what steps can you take towards that? If not, 1. What can you do to learn from this mistake and use it to, within your control, try not to repeat it in the future? 2. How might you help a friend who made a similar mistake. And then 3. What can you do to separate yourself from constant, and potentially unhelpful, reminders of this mistake you made? Remember we absolutely want to learn from our mistakes. We don’t want to miss this… but there is also a time and place for it as well and we also don’t want to punish ourselves forever because of it. You deserve compassion friend. And the fact that you realize it was a mistake and are willing to admit it is such a huge first step. Now, as hard as it may be, try to learn the lessons it is teaching and then allow your heart and mind to move forward with these lessons - no longer condemning yourself but giving you the space to let . it . go. You deserve that friend ♥️
