I hope that in the future they add an expansion or a DLC that improves the playability of Italy and Japan by adding historical events, characters, parties, generals, etc.
When I form Italy I wait till all my customs partners are swallowed into my country before launching the play, everything is insta incorporated that way, but I find waiting for that usually ends up with the republic of san marco rising from Austria and taking even longer to absorb into me
I do not get the purpose of tearing your country apart with rebels and becoming a republic. I does not change the process of Italian unification. I just unified Italy in 20years remaining a monarchy and just by bringing everyone into my customs union and peaceful unification.
