Hi! First of all nice video! I just want to ask how can I make MIDI signals come through the USB cable? 'cause I have a drum machine and I've installed it's software on the virtual machine, but I can't use it since it seems the VM couldn't read midi signals. Even though the extention pack is been loaded.
I tried this on Mac, didn't work. I have the latest version of VirtualBox and am using a Windows ISO just like you are. I also installed the extension pack. When I go to "ports" on the settings, I selected my device (Elgato Game Capture HD) and clicked on "Okay". I also enabled the USB 2.0 thing and the other thing needed as well. My virtual machine just doesn't seem to find it :(
When I run device manager it appears that the USB controllers are working but when I go to my computer, I can't see the USB. I have adjusted settings as per your video
i already install the extension pack but when i choose add device it says no device available even though it has already mount to my laptop.how to fix this problem?..I also have problem with invaid setting it says more than 50% of the host computer memory (3.76gb) is assign to the virtual machina and so on...
hi , seen your youtube. my problem : host windows 10 , virtualbox, extpack, guest ext installed, guest xp. want to use my hp photosmart C5101A s20 Dia Scanner with usb connection. usb setting made as you suggested. virtualbox shows this scanner but virtualbox does not pass it to guest XP. any help ? thanks, raja.
What should I do if the enable USB 2.0 is grayed out? Also when I set up my USB it had to be a Mac version because I couldn't download the file for windows because OS X doesn't support it anyway to turn it into a windows USB on my Mac?
It worked! once I opened the Windows Virtual Machine at the beginning it didn't detect my USB, I had to click on the USB icon , then I chose my USB and then the USB controller was installed :)
Thanks a lot, it unfortunataly does not work with a usb microscope Dino-lite Premier; no driver is needed it is recongnized by the software (ubuntu host, windows xp guest). Have you an ide ? thanks a lot
I could not make this work. How did everyone else??? I followed the steps exactly, and everything looked just like the video. But when done, I still couldn't see the USB in the virtual machine. What the hell?
