sigh. I need to add a cd drive that I connect via usb, and an external hard drive. Seems to be difficult to find these videos. Yours somehow already has the ide controller, and I can't seem to find something yet to guide me on how to do that.
I know things have changed quite a bit with VirtualBox, but I still can't get the CD or USB to be recognized. Any tips on getting it to work on VirtualBox 6.1
mY MAN. Thank you. Got old garage PC rUNNNG wINDOWS 7 pRO. iNSTALLED lINUX mINT 19.3 on it. Got virtual box installed this will help to run windows 7 pro OS to play my bluerays.
Thank you, this works for VirtualBox-5.2.44-139111-Win. I couldn't get it to work for the newer VirtualBox-6.1.12-139181-Win, but my old CD games work, so whatev!!
This, sadly, did not seem to help me one bit :/ I am trying to get a game to work through virtual CD-ROM drives on a virtual WINXP, but it won't work as it keeps telling me to input the CD into the CD-ROM drive, which is what i don't get since the "CD" should already be on the virtual CD-ROM drive and therefore work. But it doesn't and i'm just looking into how to maybe fix it or something, if you know anything that might help please let me know. Thanks
thanks man, it helped connecting my usb to install freerunning (not sure if the game works yet). Good quality video and audio. quick tutorial and download. keep up
It worked. When I selected D drive, it was not being reconized. Eventually I tried picking it as E drive and than it was able to connect (shows as D on virtualbox). It is extremely slow though but at least it's working. Thanks.

I am trying to install wireless pen to vm, if I deactivate it from host it will not appear to add in vm if I don’t deactivate it from host and add it to vm when I launch the virtual machine, pc gives me blue screen and restarts... any help? I would to connect vm directly to wireless pen but can’t
Much easier way that will allow 3.0 usb access and get around driver issues. Create a shared folder. Create a new folder in the usb drive of choice. Place all item of usb drive in new folder. Create link of new folder in shared folder. Done.
