I have 4 apps and no photos or videos, deleted all my texts, deleted all notes and voice memos and still have no storage, I don't want to delete any of the 4 apps I just can't live without them xD
It is becouse some of the app are still in data or obb The app creator does that becouse ,if you change your mind you can install it again and you will not loss anything If you want to delete go to "file" and go to "android" you will see two thing data and obb. The obb is the application and the data is data. Tap in neither one of the file and than tap on the file that you don't need, same for the other.go back to were it say android and look a around some of the app have the own private file like gameloft but not all gameloft game the one between 2007 to 2010 or 2011 the change it in 2012,2013,and2014 And download from the internet Look for download tap on it and you will see all the download that you ever downloaded on your phone And if you have picture music store it up in dropbox you can still see in inside the dropbox app they give you 5gb free and for app it is a little diffrent in dropbox you can store you app once you do that any time you want to install that app you don't have to download the app again just install it but you have to be online to do that you have to have internet to install remember dropbox is like an sdcard but it can only be and sdcard when you have internet on your phone or tablet. Like for example if you put an app on dropbox that is 10mb and and uninstall it to your phone and than install it but using dropbox you will save about 4 to 5 mb on your phone becouse you install it derectly you did not have to download it. I had to upload some of my pictures to my Google Drive and delete them from my phone to get enough memory for the SanDisk Memory Zone but it was worth it! I now have almost 2 GB of free memory and the SD card has hardly a dent made in it's storage. I am so happy to have found this.

you do not need some weird apps to move your apps to sd or internal, an that doesn't actually help and you stay with cooler hassle, but basically you still have a same problem that android is partitioned stupidly to make people by hi end product. the real deal is how to merge those two partitions - internal storage/phone memory (system partition) WITH internal sdcard/usb device (actualy same flash drive second partition). why no one have a solution just make it to ONE PARTITION as its actualy is ONE single drive.
yes there is a way download update_1 and go to recovery mode by switching off phone and then press center button+lock you can use vol up and down button for scrolling and for selecting press center button then there is a option download from sdcard select it and then scroll where you have update_1 file then go back and press reboot on the top then your device will be rooted
no need to install app to move app to sd card, seetings>apps>[app you want to move]>move to sd card.. also no need to install any app to clean app cache, settings>storage>catched data>clear ok .. that's it!!
iiAm Naomi as long as your phone is not rooted you cant move apps that are not intended to move by developers anyways. installing app2sd doesnt do the job for u by itself if you dont prefer to root your phone
Good article, but I tried the Astro program and could not get menu the same as appears at 6:30min into this clip. Therefore could not get Astro showing file sizes in neat "details view". Only App I found providing size is DiskUsage, but that seems to link to other File Management Apps to manage folders or files. Not sure about other programs mentioned. The presentation reminds me of the young geek that promotes Titanium. Regardless of presentation, info maybe useful to refer later, thanks.
@MrCohibaboy rooting is the same as having admin rights on your computer. the process is different on most android phones, meaning that not every root software will work with every phone. just google your phone, followed by your firmware and then root, and im sure youll find something. but if you have a newer firmware, it might be hard to find something, since the newer ones wont have softwar to root them in the beginning.
You are downloading apps which take up memory for info that is readily available on the phone without an app.... (And a video that is four years old is almost 100 years in computer tech time.)
gotta problem with my iball andi 3.5r.I'rooted my phone and created a secondary partition to increase internal memory using link2sd and still may internal memory notifies me low on space........get me out of it........waiting for reply........
I feel cheated, storage is very cheep this days and considering the prices for mobile devices ... there should be a lot more storage or at the very least the amount specified on the package ...

maybe you have uninstall one of the google+ app.. if that the case.. then format your phone. If you haven't uninstall any google+ app.. then try to clear the data of google play or play store.. then sign in again... it will be fine.
Hi, did not work on my Xperia SP , not-rooted, locked. Did not see SD card ... only internal memory and say something that SD is emulated .... Other apps see SD card but cannot move apps cause device is not rooted.

Please help me!!! I have an Android 4.4.2 device (ZTE Kis3) and in my apps manager there's not any button like 'move to sd' or 'move to external storage' so when I have installes 2-3 apps together it says 'Memory space is running out'
Can someone help me out? I had 2 movies on my internal storage I hooked it up to PC and cut then out and pasted them on my desktop. Unhooked my phone and checked storage and it did not free up any space. I had 3 GB with movies and should have about 5 GB now but I still have 3 GB. Then I done a bachup through CWM and that brought the storage to 534 Mb. Looked in my CWM folder and no backup whatsoever to be found. What's going on? Anyone?

It's because every other week android releases some update that you could really go without. That's what takes up all my memory since i have a micro sd card in my android. There should be a limit to what updates you want or no updates at all.

Here's a better idea have the android update 4.3 because that's the update that removes the restrictions of apps and games from internal to external SD cards.

@howtomen dude i installed this app to my galaxy S3 device but unfortunately this app doesn't move any apps to my external sd card. i guess this app doesn't support ICS or S3 devices. Any comments?
