I get all of this i just still don't understand how you shrug the bar and get underneath it
@GarageStrength
@GarageStrength 3 года назад
It's a big shrug where you pull the bar close as you bend your arms and drop under as you pull up
@IgnatiusCheese
@IgnatiusCheese 2 года назад
Try front squatting after a hang clean
@marcus_ohreallyus
@marcus_ohreallyus Год назад
You have to shrug (not pull with your arms)...you should try to launch yourself upward with the triple extension and as the bar is reaching its peak height (which will be lower if its heavy) you bring your elbows up quickly as you squat under the bar. You should receive it at its apex. Timing is important because if you get under it too soon, the bar will come crashing down after you've fully squatted. That's not fun for your lower back.

When your hips come foward, is it basically the same as hitching a. Deadlifts? (i know your are supposed to avoid hitching on deadlifts so perhaps i am not allowing my self yl do it as an over correction)

Coach thank you very much… Very good tutorial video… What do you think about Zercher Squat ? and main different with front squat? Which better for wrestling?
@GarageStrength
@GarageStrength 3 года назад
Zercher squats can be good. We still like traditional front squats so they can improve mobility and posture for wrestlers.

A did everything what I saw but I dont feel perfect contact barbell with my thight. Only with barbell is ok. But with some weight I only slide barbell with my thight (I don't feel cick) and can't fell how the barbell rise up. How it is possible? Where is a mistake? I train this so long with no results

This is how I teach it. But how come I see other coaches teaching it differently? I’ve seen coaches teach it where the athlete just cleans the bar up to the collar bone without dropping the hips, it looks like a reverse power curl. Why do they do that?
@kirshberndt8412
@kirshberndt8412 2 года назад
It appears that there is a split second of lost or less back/lat tension right before or just as the bar breaks the floor. Can you please comment on this!?

Do people not hit their junk a lot when bouncing off the hips? When they first learn at least. Looks like a dangerous area. I see some people do the contact at their kid or upper thighs

@@aurxia6584 see at 1:38 how he brings his body so the bar is at his shoulders when it’s moving down. A real max full clean may have a bit of bar crash cos it’s not shrugged up as high and you wanna get under it

Additional feedback.. if your front rack position is correct, the bar will rest on your anterior deltoids and not the collar bone. Put your fingers on your front delt and lift your arm into the front rack - you can feel the delt engage and get tight

On all snatches the bar is tilted on his right to the down...i mean it helps others to see, but why doesn't he have a jacuzzi he lays in and then comes out and tells him his motion or what not.
