Getting in to deep squat is easy. Holding the weight above the head in the deep squat is the tricky part for me. The weight feels 30% heavier compared to the power snatch 😁
The conclusion for the end part was very Klokov. Like he says "sometimes technique is issue, sometimes you are just weak" and thats exactly what some issues are, not strong enough in a certain area.
Hey Zack, you should do a video on the difference between the soviet style muscle snatch and the typical muscle snatch. The footwork video you did last time was great
That internal/external hip stretch is something Ive never seen or tried. Happened to watch this during my cool down and decided to try it out. Holy shit! Im chalking the success to a little bit of placebo (ie. this should work- so it does) But Im gonna go ahead and guess this is gonna work in the future. Thanks so much for sharing that
Exactly my issue! My jerk is going through the roof, while my snatch is not really improving because I still cannot catch the weight in the bottom position with higher weight.
Really excellent content ! Thank you Zack ! Quick question: at the bottom of a deep squat I find it easier to engage my quads if I let my knees come in slightly as I try to push with my legs to stand up. Is this acceptable/normal or is it better to try to keep knees out ?
Zack, I have very good squat depth and mobility.......until I have the bar overhead, I cannot overhead squat to save my life, so every snatch ends up a power snatch. Is that shoulder mobility or what would you suggest to improve that position. Thanks.
@@GiantPanther ok if front squat is good then try tempo over head squats with very very light weight. 3 seconds down focus on knees out. Pause for a second in bottom. 3 seconds on way up focusing on pushing feet through floor. Good luck friend.
I asked you a question on Patreon a few weeks ago, to which you didn't respond. But since you made this video to answer my question instead, I forgive you. jk cheers
