On single player I pick Silverstone on quite an easy setting and keep pulling alongside other cars on the straights and back off just before the braking zones. Sometimes overtake and move on to hassle another car but if there' s a bit gap then back off and let a few past again. I always pick 30 minute races for this. You can get from 0 to 75 in just 3 races if you are careful. Even on the warm down lap I think you can still shadow another car as I know you can lose SA hitting cars on warm down laps so in theory you can gain as well. Just be careful as they will dive into the pits as if you are not there.
@@mark_lhr3 I agree. But you start at 35. At least, I did. And in went up to 79 in 1 4-hour race at spa. Little overtaking here and drop myself back a little ahead. Just stay within 1 second of your opponent and you’re a “pro” before you know it. The system in acc is a joke
No way it still works this way. Ive spent two days 15 hours a day and I cant get out of the high 60's. Game crashed ? drop 4 SA. AI smashes into you out of no where drop 3 SA. Complete 3 20 minute races with 10-15 over takes zero off tracks and it goes up 1-2 SA. Not some made up scenario this is exactly what ive seen the last two days.
It takes experience to maintain SA in terms of knowing when and where you should make your passes. Also judgment is another thing you gain as you keep playing online lobbies. You also wanna finish all your online races that you go into even if you do get destroyed so that way you don't lose as much safety. Eventually your trust will be so high that it will take a lot of OWSP to drop it below 99 meaning you won't even be worrying about your safety and just your results (for me at least).
I dont agree with the slight contract wont affect your sa rating much, i find (especially since the latest update) slight side by side contact = lost sa points. Wiped out by idiots = lost sa points, which is unbelievably frustrating as you get the same penalties that the driver who rammed you, or swerves across in front of you on a straight, or latest one drove into you after the race had finished and i was stationary off track going into the menu to return to garage! Even 80+ servers are carnage these days
@@mark_lhr3 well to be honest ive had some great races in the higher rated servers, equally ive had some great races in 50 sa servers too. I now know from user name whos going to be good/clean and who's not as good as they think. The only servers i avoid are the low ranking ones, its just not worth the hassle

How does this game have the worst sim saftey system one contact equals one point removed and it takes near enough 30mins of clean driving to get it back or hours on single player
@@sonfable8809 pc with a g29, though I just got the g29, but before I used a super budget 180 degree no ffb wheel, which made it really hard to even drive in a straight line.
If I join a public lobby with only like one other person and we drive purposely staying next to each other in straights I can farm safety rating off it?
Been focusing alot on the rating lately. Im obsessed with getting all of them as high as possible. Trouble is i focus on one then the others drop. I cant seem to get them all in sync. Its a fun problem to have
When I get hit my safety rating does go down. Just now there was a guy in a online lobby and crashed into me because he brake way too late at Monza and I lost safety rating. Not my fault but I did lose safety rating. So no idea how this system exactly works.
Why is it so hard to unlock that Safety Ratings. I've been into several 20 minute AI single player races without any bumping to other car incidents buy SA still Locked. This is Very Frustrating!
I don't know racing side by side is going to lower consistency? The AI won't tolerate it for very long I can't imagine how a multiplayer feels about it. When I moved to ffb, from casual gamer to hobbyist, I quickly realized I knew nothing about actual car racing. Thinking no contact and staying in the lines was "good racing", it's not. A long bumpy road with few clear paths and still have tons to learn. If your safety needs improvement please make sure you have a clear understanding of racecrft and race etiquette. All ratings will increase with proper practice.
Absolutely correct. I am not sure side by side is always the best answer. Whatever , if seems more difficult now to increase SA. Or moreover, easier to lower it. Maybe that’s just me.
Do you feel that 2 years after you made this comment you now know how to properly race? If so, how long did you feel it took you to learn how to actually race with actual people in multiplayer
Yeah the safety rating system in ACC is fucking wank. You can get punted once - which happens every race online - and you lose a point. I went back to racing public lobbies and went from 89 to 76 in one night. It takes an age to bring it up again. I just don't race online anymore, it's not worth it.
Oh *bad word insert here* any one know how to reset your SA rating? I never knew that it would affect you even in offline mode I am a kart racer and everytime I hope into a online lobby I treat it as a irl situation but when I am offline or messing with friends I am more reckless.. can someone tell me are you able to reset your SA?
Why do I have to learn a trick to gain Safety Rating? It's simple...drive with awareness.These videos are making rammers and idiots who are destroying the race every time.The SA is there for a reason.
I don't believe so! A shameful rammer will learn how to control the car, will learn to read the movement of the guy in front, will practice patience if he picks up this method. As said in the video: There is no easy way! This "strategie" is a way of teaching yourself to be more are of others while racing. Regards Joe
Just when you think your not going to suggest to use AI to gain SA you suggest it. This is absolutely wrong and should not be done if your end goal is to race online against other humans.

There is no chance to gain SA in public lobby. I drove in spa yesterday. Leading the race for 10 minutes (15 minute race) and then someone joined. He was blue flagged for entire lap and did not give position so I overtook him (safely) and he proceeded to dive bomb me in the next turn and took me out. And I got hit by another car also. Boom. 2 safety rating points down.
