Hi, when I preview the app on my laptop or phone, when I open the screen with the API code, it turns white and does not load. I asked on the Thunkable community, and the only answer I got was that there was that something wrong with my object. Could anyone please help?
You can remix my version of the app in my remix vault and download the cheatsheet for this project in my Thunkable Toolkit. Sign up for access here: amble.link/start
There have been a lot of questions lately on the Web API in the Thunkable Community. Be sure to check out the docs (docs.thunkable.com/web-api) and search the Thunkable Community (community.thunkable.com/search) with any questions.
Hey Darren, I'mtrying to make a 2 step SMS verification but I don't understand how to use the web api with an SMS sending service, could you help me somehow? Thx
Not at the moment! I’ve considered making one, but I think the thunkable documentation is the best resource for this. docs.thunkable.com Do you have a question on something specific? I could put in a request to update something that is not clear.
But that's not how real apps should function a better example would be to make another request and load the rest of the result and append them to the list.
Hi, and thank you very much for your video guides. I managed to include a data fetch Web API to QunitaDB using the GET method. But what really hassels me is to update a record using the PUT method. Can you describe how I configure a proper block in Thunkable X that works like the following jquery? Can I set this in a Web API Body? Or do I transmit the data in the URL? And when URL then how do I build up the URL-parameters? (jquery code) $.ajax({ url: “quintadb.ru/apps/app_id/dtypes/ID.json”, type: “PUT”, data: {"rest_api_key":“your_rest_api_key”, “values” : {"value_id": "some_data"}}, }); See additional info to this problem: community.thunkable.com/t/send-json-via-webapi-put/75641
Hey Robert, I saw your post on the community and I think Domhnall will be the guy to talk to on this. I might be able to take a look this weekend, but I haven't done anything with PUT method in Thunkable.
