I tryed this project and I copied all your code but when I start this project I click one of mine states and for 1 sec I see it and it is gone, and also when I start for from the result screen it doesn't show up

Hi can you make a video how to use the date functions in thunkable x, which includes below items: 1- How can I add # of days to a specific date, for example adding 100 days to 28/02/2019. 2- How can I calculate # of days between 2 dates, for example how many days between 15/04/2018 and 20/03/2019. 3- How can I get the day of the week from Jason for specific date, for example what is the day of the week on 15/05/2018 4- Is it possible to have Date Picker to choose dates from in Thunkable X same as the one in thunkable classic. thanks

hey Darren. Did they change the name of the "row" button in an update since this video was released? I cannot locate a "row" button anywhere???

actually answered my own question here. after december of 2020 alot of the components were moved to the settings tab and are no longer available making this video, although quite badazz athe time, a tad overly confusing noww. Any chance you could remake this video with the updated features and block arrangements???

Yeah that's the issue with all these platforms and tutorials, they keep making updates so tutorials go out of date after a year or so.

I need to put a calendar in my app. I need it to function like google calendar. i was wondering if that was possible.

Hey Earl, there is nothing "out of the box" in Thunkable X that allows you to add a calendar. This means you would need to create this functionality on your own. I only found one decent post on the forums discussing this, but essentially, you would need to utilize a Web API and / or some custom calendar feature which is embedded in your app through the WebViewer. Check out the post here: community.thunkable.com/t/calendar-api-recommendations/36510/7 Indeed, this is no easy task...

Hi Darren, awesome video :) Thanks for doing this. I noticed that the 'Brew Json' variable is only working within the context 'then do' of the Get call. Do you know of a way to keep the object working outside of the Get call? thanks

I have an issue with web api thunkable working with localhost Web_API c#. I have tried with many kind of json ( array, obj, string Json) but up to now, both of them couldn't communicate each other. If you know about, pls support.

At the end of the api url you can add search parameters to filter the data that is returned. So at that point, I am adding the state the user selected so only items with that state are returned.

Do you have to have a special program to download api? How do I get the api url? From the list you provided most require an additional program. Is this something I can do without having knowledge of coding?

Because there are literally thousands of APIs available, it would be impossible and kind of absurd for Thunkable to create blocks for each specific API. Each API is a little different, but they all have the same core principles: * Data is available by going to a url * You can filter data by adding search parameters to a url * The data is returned in some form of a object that you need to decode * Some APIs require a key or password to access the data If you are having trouble following along, I highly recommend checking out Thunkable’s RU-vid channel. They recently put out like 10 videos working with different Web APIs that are beginner focused: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rUnWhwHHmO4.html

I tried the first part of this. It works when I hard-code the state but not when I use [app State Selected]. I display and compared the URL and they are exact. The joined URL works fine via the web.

Hey I was wondering if we coud maybe take the Api of a quiz online so the user can tkae the quiz and at the same time we can se their scores on the quiz?

Hello sir, can we convert unit time into our local time? In openweathermap API sunrise and sunset is given in unix and I couldn’t convert it can you help me in it?

Hmmm so the API is returning a time for your location that is not the time of your location? That sounds like an issue with the API. But if you wanted to fix it on your side, I would determine the difference (ex. 2 hours off) then just subtract or add that time as you display it.

Hi, when I preview the app on my laptop or phone, when I open the screen with the API code, it turns white and does not load. I asked on the Thunkable community, and the only answer I got was that there was that something wrong with my object. Could anyone please help?

@@DarrenAlderman Hey Darren, I'm having the same issue. The only thing I see different is your "Get Property XXX of object". Mine does not look the same. It forces me to add name into quotes. It's not in a field without quotes like yours. I hope that makes sense.
