@@SelectorsHubseems like not useful for application under development. Like starting a project from scratch or building new features. In case companies using low code development tools like mendix or outsystem in that we cant use it because there is no concept of sharing dev url with test team and utilize the url for exploring application. 2. How can we use it to record mobile script or on cloud providers platform like browser stack?

Hello Mukesh ji, I had created an automatic java code generator for web by just clicking the elements in the page and then after completion a java code will be generated and ready to launch, implemented the same approach for new browser and existing browser launch. But the issue is its not having a fancy UI, its just a project where I built as a Maven project

This is ok for regression test case. But what about for new features when the env is not ready. Most of the time for feature testing all the screens are new. Is there any way to write the test case from requirement or from Acceptance criteria from jira

Hi Gayatri you can use HP ALM Jira, or Azure DevOps. You can also use TestRail or Zephyr for writing testcases.

Hi, @mukesh we need test cases I agree with it, but we need to write it while the devs are in developing stage and we need to do it side by side and later on we need to validate those testcases and we need to use them while performing testing. The above tool help us only once after the build is ready. Then there is no use of this tool to create manual test casess.

According to me this is helpful only when the feature is ready for testing. Becoz until and unless the feature is not available on screen we won't get to know the expected results.

Are people still writing UI test cases with such details? We usually write test cases before product development (shift left) and our test cases are not much UI centric and we usually interested in Business operation than UI flow. curious to know how its useful in that case? is this really solving problem or a tool which is looking for problem? This is not a criticism but just a thought. looking for rationale for this tool.

UI Automation Testing is painful, time consuming and needs too much of maintenance even after having a robust keyword driven framework. Some clients still feels automation means UI and not worried about the focus on functional aspects which can be easily achieved by API. Its traversing into more psychological space rather than problem solving
